I've got a 2020 RDX A-Spec with 51k miles (just out of warranty) and my microphone stopped working completely so I can't take phone calls or do any voice controls. It's not my phone (Android Auto works in my Corvette as well in rental vehicles) as the stock Nav and other Acura voice controls are also unresponsive. It brings up the voice icon but when I speak it doesn't register anything. I did a search and nothing really come up on the topic? I can't even find how to change out the microphone which I believe is in the overhead sunroof controls area. Anyhow trying to decide whether to pay the dealer to diagnose or try to replace some parts myself. Thanks for any info.

 

Maybe try rebooting the infotainment system??

 

There was an operating system update over the weekend that I downloaded which looked like it did a reboot during the process. This continues to confirm my suspicion that its a hardware issue. Thanks for the response.

 

Maybe discuss with your dealer that you are only recently out of warranty and maybe suggest that it was working prior to the update and now it's not? Just a thought.

 

Wow, this turned into quite the ordeal. The mic was fine but the infotainment module had to be replaced which required pulling the entire dash.

 

Yikes! Is the dealer covering the cost for this?
