iTunes for dummies

most of my music I get from iTunes - and I listen to on all sorts of devices from small Bose Bluetooth speakers to my sound bar at home to my earbuds. Obviously they don’t all sound the same. So how can o get the most out of ELS 3D system in the car with iTunes?

Don’t use Bluetooth. Connect directly to the CarPlay port. There is a big difference. Outside of this, having your music at the highest bitrate possible is desirable which for purchased iTunes songs is 256kb I think! Some people can hear the difference and some can’t. If you ripped your music you had an opportunity based on file size and space available to increase this.

I'm exploring using Spotify with the ATT hotspot. You can download content at 320kb bitrate.

I always use tbe usb and CarPlay in the car. Not sure what the bitrate is for all my music. I imagine some are better as some are ripped from CDs but the majority is purchased. I’ll see if I can check on iTunes and somehow “upgrade” them if they’re not at the highest. i know I don’t have the time, energy or equipment to start converting them to other formats and then back. So I just want to get the best out of them for now.

My guess is as long as you are tethered the audio will sound just fine!
