GPS navigation not functioning

I bought this 2019 Acura RDX just a week ago, but only now discovered that the GPS navigation is not functioning. The map has been frozen on the same incorrect location this whole time. I've gone into the dealer diagnostics only to find the "GPS Antenna", "GPS" and "Error Messages" boxes in red, and it only says the GPS antenna is "NOK", which I assume is not OK LOL. Did multiple resets with the same result. I've made an appointment with the local Acura dealership, but has anyone had similar issues with the navigation not working? A bit surprised that a 1 year old Acura would have an issue like this, though obviously sometimes things just fail...

Well, the dealership confirmed that neither the GPS unit or the antenna were communicating. They did a different kind of reset (battery reset?), not a factory default, and now everything is working. Dealer said they hadn't seen this issue before, so if it happens again to come back, as they may have to replace one or the other if it recurs... I guess this post is here if anybody else runs across this problem...

I'm probably just talking to myself in here, but I wanted to add that after the GPS navigation was fixed with whatever reset the dealership did, I found that the auto shut off feature was working for the first time since I've had the car (only a bit over a week). I found it strange that I never noticed the car shutting off when waiting at red lights, but on the way home from the dealership yesterday it was doing it at every light. Has anyone else had the auto shut off not working (other than manually shutting the feature off)?

It shuts off or does not based on a number of factors, mostly attributable to the state of charge of the battery, but under other circumstances as well. It is in the manual.

There is some funky thing where ... if the hood is opened while the engine is running, the Auto Idle Stop will not engage. Perhaps this was the case prior to your dealer visit, and now that condition has been cleared?

Nope, definitely not the hood. I had opened and closed it a few times myself, looking things over and showing to curious family members. The auto idle stop NEVER activated in the entire first week of driving. Then miraculously, driving home from the dealership yesterday, it automatically activated at every stop light I stopped at except one. I was paying very close attention to it because at that first light when it activated it was obvious as I've never had a vehicle with auto idle before and it was a bit unnerving. There were some strange electronic gremlins that both caused the GPS to no longer function, the auto idle stop to no longer function, and the Bluetooth to not function -- though that came back on its own the next day for whatever reason. I'm just glad it's all working now, and hopefully it will stay that way!
