I blame the companies! I have oven at home that is $4k and 3 month old that broke, and they dont have any replacement parts with a bullshit excuse “due to covid there are shortages”. Its BS.

Anyone think the 2022 RDX will have the Virtual Cockpit of the MDX and I should just wait it out?
I predict the Advance trim will get it.

Given how little interior difference between all the trims, I doubt it will just be the Advance trim if it happens at all. IMHO, we won't see a major interior refresh for another two years (5 year cycle)

The answer to the question in this thread is YES, YES and YES.
I will write a more detailed review in the near future, just got my car 2 days ago =D
Will compare it to my CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve which I think will be helpful.

I agree, the answer is yes. I am into my 2nd year. Yes, there are issues and annoyances, but I think overall its good value for you $.

I love the SH-AWD. Curious how this compares to Quattro, X-Drive and 4Matic from Audi, BMW and Mercedes. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have a RDX AWD Aspec 2020 and my wife X3 AWD 2020. Both cars drive very nice but I feel the X3 drives and handle a little bit nicer. The X3 feels a little bit sportier but smaller inside and has hard uncomfortable chair. The touch screen in the X3 is much better than the touch pad in the RDX and the mileage is better too. The RDX is more comfortable but overall the difference is very small.

I have had x-Drive and 4matic, if you are just asking about it’s performance on regular roads, I would say SH AWD feels more nimble and dynamic. But, this is largely depends on how aggressive you drive. If you are a relatively tame driver, it doesn’t really matter and any of them will get you out of sticky situations where 4x4 is needed.

for regular paved roads and highways, I prefer SHAWD

Yes, I’ve driven a modern xDrive too and agree the SH-AWD is more dynamic. All you need to do is accelerate thru a highway on-ramp to feel the SH-AWD whip you around. I never felt anything special with the xDrive, although I’m sure it did it’s job as intended.

That being said, most drivers shouldn’t be making crossover-buying decisions based on their AWD.

I used to live in Michigan and now have moved to New York. To prevent rust and corrosion I did rust-proofing the car myself. Just applied lot of black grease all over and for the muffler and converter used high-temp paint. I also have a pressure washer that uses 20V lithium batteries which makes it easy to wash the salt in front of my house after each trip. In the past 20 years, not a single spot of rust in my previous VW and now RDX.
