I find the dash and consoles are different and not “standard” I’ve tried a couple different phone holders but can’t find a good one that’s not in the way of something. Anyone have a vent style mount that’s decent and doesn’t t fall off? Or what do you use?
We just keep it in the 'slot' next to the two cupholders. We purchased a small 6" cable that we keep plugged into the USB there, and whoever is driving can charge and have Carplay going. Very rarely do we need to actually pick up or look at the phone itself for any reason, so works good for us.

I got this a few months ago, and it's been phenomenal so far. It integrates directly with the MagSafe feature in my iPhone/case.
I too was worried about where I was gonna place it, but I found a great spot that works for me. I have it directly in front of the right secondary screen, on that hard plastic piece. The phone covers the passenger AC controls when it is mounted, but it's not much of an issue for me.
Just want to be sure. Please confirm this phone holder will work on the vertical AC vents of the 3rd Generation Acura RDX. A photo would be nice. Thank you.
I no longer have my RDX but please see these pictures that I've attached.
Not only are the mounting "soft grippy rubber prongs" cross hatched, the whole thing rotates...even with the phone in place. Very nice. I stopped using it when Android Auto became available.
It hooks onto the back of the vent fin rather then pinching it so while it takes a bit to install, it definitely stays in place. I like that it elevates the phone some too so the vent isn't completely blocked.

That it doesn't (much) block the vent makes this one look pretty interesting. May have to try it.
Here's a pic. It does block the display a bit and you can't really redirect the vent. I only really use it if I know I'll need to use google maps, otherwise I use the mount in the lower right corner.
I just park my phone on the wireless charger pad now in my 22 and use the dash top screen. In my 2019 just plugged it in via CarPlay/android and set it in the slot next to the cup holders. Did not want to mess with some ugly mounting.
I've never had much luck with AA on my 2020 Advance. Perhaps with later years it's gotten better.
I had some issues with CarPlay on my 2020 Advance as well with an older iPhone. However, when I upgraded to the 13 and especially the latest updates starting with 15.0 I've had zero issues. Works every time now so maybe Apple / Acura found the secret sauce to finally make them all play well in the sandbox together.
I agree with the ProClipUSA RDX Mount I've used them in numerous cars over the years and never any problems!
Pick the mount for your car and then pick a holder for your type of phone. You can also attach other brands of holders to this mount. I like the magnetic one that Jeffola suggested.
