What cars are you cross shopping?

I was looking at the Subaru Outback Touring model last year but they have been plagued by infotainment system freezes and crashes... Subaru has been issuing piecemeal "solutions" with updates to operating system, but over a year into it still no real fix. I am hopefully that Acura is able to isolate and address this infotainment issue more quickly and completely, as I REALLY like the RDX package overall.

i do hope they have full resolution by year end. If not, I may be looking at a competitor or a 2020 RDX

i am with you on this. I, too looked at Subaru, but I thought I would stick with a fancier interior. The infortainment system issue is really critical, more than any other such as tailgate moans. Having screen and systems shutdown in middle of a drive would present potential safety issue.

I suggest that you test drive one car in the morning and the other one in the afternoon. The differences and similarities will stand out better than if you do one test one day, and another on the other.

Assuming the rumors are true https://suvtrend.com/honda/honda-pas...crossover-suv/
I will be looking at the new Honda Passport - it will have Accord type 2.0T and 10sp AT. Expect bias for fuel economy (30+ hwy) and non-SH AWD set-up. This slots in nicely between the too small CRV and too big Pilot.
As long as it has comfortable, ventilated seats, I will consider it as a potential "value" comparison to the RDX. Probably priced around the Murano level, so top out around $44k.
We shall see
