By the way, do you have picture of your vehicle with the larger wheels and tires? I am considering purchasing the Advance but like many others, dislike the standard wheels.

Nope, I prefer the exterior black trim on the a-spec over the chrome on the advance, sportier and more aesthetic

So, the look is more important than features? OK, I disagree. In fact, I am not a huge fan of the overall look of the RDX to begin with, so a bit of chrome vs some black trim...eh.

I don't like the red instruments or seats...the suede seats are a turnoff. The black interior...makes the interior look smaller, closed in. I love the HUD (it is likely if the RDX didn't offer the HUD I would not have bought one), the excellent sound system. the adaptive dampers...Yes, I am very happy with the Advanced package. Glad there are other options for those who don't like a bit of chrome.

OH, and the wheels? I don't care for them but hey, I don't see them when I am driving, which is why I bought the RDX.

So yeah, for me, features trumped the looks..

These are my opinions, YOMV

no

But it depends, if you want to drive like a slow old fart then the advanced is probably best for you.

You realize that it's the same engine, right? This is on the level of saying the red dials in the A-spec add 10 hp to the car.

They do. The A-Spec badges add 5HP each. VTEC kicks in faster too, y0.

A-spec canadian. Easy decision. Most popular trim from what I gather driving around my town.

Yes, this is why Acura makes different models of the RDX. It would be real boring if they all looked the same!

its all good, but many of us still trying to figure out why Acura decided to put worst looking wheels on their top of the line trim? Was it done intentionally to upsell additional Acura wheels for 3k extra?

Perhaps. I have looked back at previous RDX "top trims" and they all seem to have boring wheels. SIGH. It bothers me less than, say ... hmmm, oh! Waiting for the OTAs!

Manufacturers do a lot of focus group studies on that kind of thing. My guess is that their studies showed that the demographic most likely to pony up for the most “luxurious” trim of the RDX is older with more conservative taste in wheels (and enjoys wood trim). In contrast, the demographic most likely to buy the Tech trim is probably younger with a more modern taste in those kinds of things. Can’t please everyone, so they follow the stats.

older people need most tech trim? nah, you give Acura too much credit for their “market research”. Doing stupid things seems more likely to me.

He said the opposite, older people prefer the Advance and younger people prefer the Tech. Although I question the claim that only old people like wood trim. I'm pretty sure everyone likes wood trim.

I'm old, and I went with the A-Spec over the Advance. The wheels were the primary reason, the black trim was a plus for me, as was the $2000 difference! The wife liked that part!
I drove the Advance and wasn't blown away by the HUD so that didn't factor in. I did think the foot release on the back hatch was a good feature, but it wasn't enough to get me past those ugly ass wheels.

And now, 2.5 years later, I have zero point zero regrets. I got a 2020 Advance loaner one day when my car was in for service and honestly, there wasn't much in it that I wished I had. I do think the trim on the dash looks better than the fake suede in the A-Spec. I'll give you that

The best of both worlds!

I have a 2022 RDX A-Spec™️ Advance and I love that Acura combined the appointments of the A-Spec™️ trim with the technology of the Advance package.

Love the 20” sharkskin wheels

In 2019, I bought a mazda cx5 grand touring reserve. It was right under the signature as far as trim level. Same engine, suspension, etc. Differences were Napa leather vs not, and 360 camera vs not. It always nagged at me. The difference between ASPEC and Aspec advance is far greater. The active suspension is a huge deal for me, and alters everything about the drive. I would not be happy in anything but a top trim vehicle. Ive owned some amazing base vehicles. My c6 z06, for one. But I always traded them for loaded out or near, models after a year or so. Never liked button place holders or the knowledge that Im not having as good a time as I could be.

I can't stand it. It instantly makes a vehicle look cheap and out of touch with anything but maybe the year the manufacturer was founded.

Tack on another 30 years and you'll be looking for wood trim in your vehicle. You're currently too young to appreciate it and I'm to old to appreciate the carbon fiber thing, fake aluminum look, red interior that looks like a pizzeria and all the trim painted black
