Production for custom floor mats for the 2019 Acura RDX is underway. We have scanned this vehicle on the 31st of August and expected to have them available in 4-6 weeks.
Whenever it is, I have a set coming. My winter tires are all mounted on the stock rims so I'm ready for the winter.

The thing I don’t like about the stock and weathertech is the amount of dead pedal uncovered. I don’t understand it. But the thing I don’t like about the tuxmat is the need to stick something through the carpet and not using the stock retainers.

The look of the TuxMat is very unappealing and not having retainers is a show stopper for me. I have been using WT mats for as long as I can remember...great look and very high quality. For me, that is my only option for after market mats. I, personally, think some are making too big a deal out of dead pedal coverage but that's why the market is given a choice. Best of luck with your TuxMats.

Well, dead pedal coverage is important, if you live anywhere where you have to walk through snow/slush before getting in. The snow adheres to your toe cap and sole, and with at least a third of the dead pedal left uncovered the snow/slush/salt/dirt melts off your foot resting on the dead pedal, runs down the dead pedal and collects at the base. This results in soaking the carpet beneath the plastic/rubber of the mat, and it doesn’t dry and leads to other problems...
i dont have tuxmat and only knew about them from this thread. I don’t have weathertech but did in my TLX and TL before that. I currently have the stock all weather mat because they came with my rdx...

I lived in the Northeast for most of my life...snow and ice was common throughout the winter. Never had an issue throughout the years I had been using WT mats but I do understand the concern...I just think it's blown out of proportion.

I’ve always used this in select spots to protect my carpets from salt buildup in the winters. I even used it with the weathertechs in my last car because there are spots that even weathertechs (actually any mat) will not cover.

while it’s a bit unsightly, I only use it for a few months, which is much better than having unsightly salt buildup spots on my carpet year-round.

Sorry about the size of the photos, but these mats are HUGE!
They cover much more than the OEM all weather mats and the Weathertech mats. I like the fact that they cover the carpet up to the side sills and there is even a little bit of coverage below the seat controls. I didn't install any of the extra clips or velcro pieces included with the mats, but they fit snugly. My order included the rear mats, but kept them in the box for now.

What is the material of the TuxMat? Padded vinyl? Is the surface slick or grippy?

I can see from the nice pics that there is trim and stitching involved in the manufacturing of this mat. It will be interesting to see how that holds up over time. The WT mats are a one-piece molded design versus layered and stitched which should prove to be far more stable but I fully understand that those looking at this mat are doing so for the dead pedal issues which do not concern me.

Just received Tuxmat for my 2017 CX5, still waiting for my 2019 RDX..

I have OEM All-Weather Mats on the front & rear rows.
I bought the WeatherTech for front row... since I started to see leaves and brush find their way onto the floor near the accelerator. They are slightly slippery due to the material used, and they shake around a little bit more in the pins than the OEMs. They seem to be slightly larger hole. Not sure if my batch, or if anyone is experiencing the same?
I'll take some pictures & video tomorrow morning!

Got my Tuxmats today, and I'm impressed with what I've seen thus far. They seem much more substantial and better fitting than the Husky liners I had in my previous car. Thanks to bluntman72 for the testimonial and photos.

I have used Weathertech and Husky liners in a few cars now. Weather techs seem to be the cram of the crop and the husky liners just a tad behind the WT's....maybe just a tad thinner plastic so they can bend a bit easier.

That is why you have a warranty...they will replace them as they have done for others that have experienced this issue. I have been using them for as long as I can remember and never had such an issue.

I've had good experience with OEM all weather mats. They don't cover quite as much, but it's "good enough" and they last years.
Edit: The Tuxmat look nice. I'd probably give them a shot, although they're out of stock.

Just got the Tuxmat today and installed them. They fit great. Really high quality. I've been using the OEM All Weather Mats I got from Curry Acura. The Tuxmats are SO much better--fit, finish, and quality. I know I shouldn't, but I went ahead and put the OEMs on top. I think they should be ok. I've used the Weather techs on my last two cars and they were ok. Only slightly thicker than the OEMs, but they warp and are not very pliable like the OEMs.
