Is this normal and by design?

Is this normal and by design?
I just noticed the other day that the rear driver side bumper is not flush with the fender. It looks almost like it's by design or something, but the passenger side is not like this. The passenger side is completely flush with the fender whereas it's not on the driver side. I've already provided pictures to my dealership (It's an Advaned 2020 model with SH-AWD - picked it up on the 31st of December). Dealership told me to come by the service department and call ahead to the service manager about this.
What gives? If this was quality control issue...then this makes me think Acura really has poor QC. I attached pics.

I haven’t checked mine but if that’s “by design” that’s bad design.
Is it possible that someone whacked it out of position in a parking incident? Honda/Acura is usually pretty good about panel gaps and alignment.

There is one thing though. The dealership installed mudflaps on to it. Perhaps during the install something got out of alignment? Really not sure how installing a mudflap would cause such misalignment.

Yea, terrible design is this is what it's supposed to be like. I doubt it. And no, not hits or dings. It has been sitting in my garage since I bought it. Only drove it to work twice since buying it. No dings, scuffs, scratches, or any other signs of being hit.

Wow...very odd...I didn't notice or look on mine. I'll have to take a look when I get it back later today (rotors being replaced for the known brake issue).

Wouldn't be surprised if it's a fit and finish or QC issue. It's not like Ohio's state motto is: "With attention to detail, all things are possible".
In before someone claims: "It doesn't matter where the cars are built, they're all built by robots".
