Sounds like a fast clicking sound.
If you can gear it with the hood opened, I don't understand why your dealer did not want to help you. |
That noise/chatter appears to be something loose either in the dashboard or firewall. The noise does not appear to be mechanical. I would try another dealership. |
Can you only hear it with the engine on? |

What's odd is, if it's something loose in the dash area or trim, etc. etc., then I'd expect to hear it more than just at start up. Over bumpy road, etc. Have you shown the video with sound to the dealer?

Or, when you at the dealer where you bought the car, ask them to show you another RDX and see if you can hear the same noise. I can tell you that mine does not have that noise.

The question is, if it changes according to the engine rpm change, and if it becomes maybe louder/more intense at higher rpm, than you may have some internal mechanical issue. In the other hand, if it despaired at higher rpm and comes back when engine goes to idle, than it could be something lose that makes ticking sound caused by engine vibration. |
