Hey everyone – has anybody seen this error and have any idea what this is? This is a new one on me I’ve never seen it but I’ve only had the car since January…A search of the forums didn’t yield any results.

 

What system app was running at the time? Beans a Java interpreter built into the Android OS.

 

I wasn’t running anything to be honest I started the car put it in gear and began driving in the next thing I know this popped up on the main screen I’m sure if something was running in the background but I have not selected any system app or otherwise. I guess it’s really not a big deal if it doesn’t happen frequently but I just thought it was an interesting error that I have never seen…

 

I vaguely recall seeing that once, but basically it means the running app has crashed. What system version are you running?

 

Beans converter has stopped?

I saw that last week too ... After restart it disappeared.

Holy smokes, it’s been a while since I’ve seen anything involving JavaBeans. Welcome to software development circa 2013...just how old is the Android fork that Acura decided to use?

 

Maybe they got in on closeout at Radio Shack?

 

Come to think of it, it sometimes does remind me of the TRS-80.

 

Maybe Acura is the Japanese word for Tandy.

The TTI system is based on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), which I assume was the latest stable version at the time they began work on the system in 2014. I believe that the processor is an nVidia Tegra, but I do not know the specific model. The SoC is actually TI's Jacinto 6 EX (aka DRA75x), not the nVidia Tegra. However, they both use the ARM Cortex-A15 microprocessor; the difference is that the Tegra 4 (which powers the Audi MMI systems) uses 4 of those cores, whereas the Jacinto 6 only has 2 of those cores.

 

That's a shame; you'd think they would have future-proofed the new system with more powerful hardware. Maybe the 2021 TLX will get an upgrade.

 

I doubt TLX will get any different hardware for Infotainment, it will be the same as 2021 RDX. Maybe they silently updated few components. I do expect them to make more software updates which we should also get.
my system been very stable with apple play after 1.2.x update. The Occasional communication Lost blue screen I was getting has TSB (bad connectors), but other than that - no issues.

 

Ahhhh, the old Trash-80.... brings back memories....

This thread is about a year old but I just had this message on my screen for the first time. Running the most current software. Disappeared after restarting. I owned this car since June 2019.

 

Of course a restart fixes it. At least it happened while he was parked. I have had to turn off the car at a light, open door and restart car to fix apple CarPlay since the problems increased after the MOST bus TSB was applied.

 

Have a look around the other forum threads for "three finger reboot"; you can do this without shutting off the engine.
