I had a GS, 1992, I think, what a hot car. Great gearbox, light, that thing really flew for its day.

I had an '88, and a '97 GS-R. Near perfect gearbox. I still remember the way the engine character changed when the VTEC and FI changes came in around 5000 rpm. It just turned crazy. I also remember the near total lack of torque in normal driving. (the ac compressor engaging at idle felt like it could stall the engine) The car was Jekyll and Hyde. RPMs jumped so fast that hitting the rev limiter was a common occurrence in daily use. That was small compromise, bulletproof Honda engineering in its prime.

But, amazing how much our priorities can change as we get older. It'll be interesting to see if the new gen brings back some of the crazy in a velvet wrapper.

Integra will be under the ILX Forum discussion, as it will more than likely be it's replacement

I had fond memories of mine as well. I recently drove an original 87 LS and the gearbox was as great as I remember; however, everything else.......damn I'm old. It ride quality is pretty bad, it's loud (terrible on the highway), and it's slow for a minivan by today's standards. Also, the fuel economy was way worse than I remember. Granted this was an 87 but it's 65k on the odo and was restored to "new".

At the time though, I loved that car.

Should be interesting, but a sad day that the NSX got axed. Even though I only saw one ever on the road, and 3 at dealers, what a beautiful car. I would say the most beautiful of that type car. And aside for the new Corvette, the price was about the best (140K?) for that genre car.
