My new 19
I’m back after a couple of years with my new MSM/Ebony Advance AWD. So far the RDX is everything I expected and more. However, very, very disappointed the US version of the Advance does not have auto folding mirrors, temp control for the rear seats, puddle lights, heated windshield, headlight washers, and probably articulating headlights the Canadian ELITE PLATINUM model has. Biggest disappointment was the lack of at least a CD player in all models. The lack of LED rear turn signals is a cost saver for Acura, but takes away from the beautiful composite aka plastic tail gate. The 3D Surround is terrific, but why “discrete” surround and not true 5.1 after Acura was the leader in audio tech in my former TL? Just got 27.2 mpg after my first long trip of 200+ miles. The turbo makes the RDX a pocket rocket, even using regular dino juice. Only problem so far is a moaning/groaning lift gate, both opening and closing. I’ll wait for a TSB before taking to my dealership so they can fix it on the first attempt while tearing all the rear trim up. Also, does anyone know how to get my contacts to load from my iPhone 8? The dealership has no clue. Oh, I almost forgot my hate for the HD Radio traffic service, which I had in my ‘16 Lexus RX 350 I traded in for the RDX. There is no coverage here in a metro area of 450,000 people. Will have more rants and raves soon.

Guess Im a dinosaur but Id like one too. Now Ill have to transfer 20 yrs of CD purchases (sigh).
OTOH, I read 20-somethings are the biggest demographic for turntable and vinyl purchases. Should have held on to mine lol.

It was bound to happy eventually
Do yourself a favor and take all the CDs and throw them in the garbage and get a subscription to Spotify. No need to worry about file size, sound quality is always top notch, and you have access to literally anything you can think of. I couldn't believe some of the stuff I found on Spotify that otherwise I couldn't find elsewhere.
I can understand the amount of money you've likely spent on CDs over the years... I used to collect them too... they now sit in boxes, never to be touched again. Completely worthless in most people's opinion, these days. Won't even bother going through the effort to sell them.
At $10/month, Spotify gives me more music then I could have ever previously owned, as opposed to paying $10-15 for a single CD. You also don't have to spend time ripping CDs to your devices, etc. Such a brutal waste of time. Hell, you can even use Spotify for free so long as you don't mind listening to occasional ads.

Maybe the OP is an audiophile.
CD's have better sound quality vs Spotify/XM
Other option is converting the CD's to wav/flac files which is the next best thing.

Excellent vehicle, but it should be at $59,000 sticker. Engine was just too underpowered for 4,600# vehicle. Fit and finish was excellent and not one problem in almost 2 years and 23,000 miles. I will miss the 15 speaker 853 Watt Mark Levinson CD/DVD-A audio system the most. No discrete surround system like the RDX 3D has can beat a true 7.1 surround system playing DVD-A, or DTS discs, which the Mark Levinson is.
P.S. The mid-model refresh 19 Lexus RX 350 will probably not have a CD/DVD player.

Good luck with your 19 RDX, enjoy the drive.

Advanced
I'll consider a 2020 RDX....after buyers of the new 2019 become Acura's "beta-testers". I learned my lession when I bought a "Newly Re-Designed" car in 2013....too many big and little issues that the maker didn't want to deal with (Until the NTSB got involved).

This system will play 5.1 .24/48 wav files. Read some of the posts in the dedicated section above this forum for details. You can rip your DVD-A's, SACDs, and BluRay Audio's to 5.1 .wav files to a USB stick and the ELS 3D system will play them accurately in the car.
