Miles, Problems, lease buyout
Hey all,
Just wondering how many miles you all have on your 3rd gen RDX, and what problems you've encountered thus far?
Also, has anyone gone from a lease to buying out their RDX? If so, was it a smooth transition? I'm really enjoying this RDX, and I am thinking we will buy it out after the lease is up.
Thanks all!

2020 RDX White/Espresso
8,500 miles, and the only problem I’ve had was the rear hatch alignment which “rubbed” in cold weather. Fixed by dealer at no charge.

Advanced
37,000 miles, 2 yrs and 4 months, no issues whatsoever (two broken windshields and a minor fender-bender notwithstanding). Purchased, not leased. Like you, "I'm really enjoying this RDX."

I just discovered this morning (45 degrees out and 1,600 miles) that I have a rattle coming from what I think is the sunroof. It is coming from the passenger side roof area. I will have Acura take a look at my first oil change.

My 2020 RDX Advance AWD has been nothing but trouble….10,800 miles.
3 trips to to the dealership to correct squeaking brake issue; finally resolved. Several trips to address driver side dash rattle near the HUD resulted in dash being pulled and finding a broken harness support. Was unable to defrost the car on first winter drive - inside and out; service tech found an improper HVAC connection which required partial tear out of the passenger side dash. Passenger side rattle at highway speeds which drives me crazy; dealership unable to replicate. Paint bubbles at bottom corner of driver door and at driver door hinges which have rusted; dealership touched these areas up.
To be fair, I registered a complaint with the owner of the dealership and tried to work on an exchange for a different vehicle but the economics couldn’t be made to work. I was offered (and accepted) a full service contract on the car. Essentially I won’t have to pay for any scheduled service expenses for the term of my lease. Can’t wait to get rid of this car but I’m stuck for another 2 years.
Build date was March, 2020….should have known better……lesson learned.

Around 2,800 miles. Leased. Problems with non stop squeaking brakes when coming to a stop and moving at slow speeds and pressing the brakes. Dealer "fixed it last week". Hoping it stays that way.
Car play messes up every now and then, but works for the most part
Getting a popping and rattle noise coming from the sunroof every time I hit a bump and sometimes when making turns. Noise is much more noticeable with the sunroof tilted open. With it closed, only hear the pop every now and then. Will address next oil change
Wish I could forever turn off the auto stop
3rd Acura leased and not my favorite at the moment, as I never had any issues with the other ones at all. Probably will stick with Acura when lease is up, but not sure I would stick with RDX. If those issues were forever fixed, probably would change my mind. Car is significantly more fun to drive when in sport + compared to sport. Not sure how much more that kills the gas milage though

2019 Advance, over 20,000 miles: Had brake squeak, they replaced parts and 99% fixed that. Its not an issue to me. Other than that car has been very good to me. I would buy it again.
