Looking for a 2022/2023 RDX Aspec or Aspec Advance in the 40K range..pricing thoughts
I know the 2024 models will be out in the next 45-60 days.
There are a lot of 2022's and 2023's out there still. There are some lower priced ones, but many dealers are still asking 44K-47K for 2022's with miles on them.
I am thinking a more realistic price would be around 40K for a 2022 with less than 10K miles considering that I can get a 2023 for 47K.
What do you guys think ? Does Acura give end of month/quarter/year bonuses to dealerships to move these cars that may help me get my price on a 2022/2023 ?
I am not in a rush and can play this waiting game till December 31st if needed.

I bet you could find a 2021/2022 RDX Aspec SHawd in that price range with a lot of haggling at the end of any month. Dealers run on a monthly P&L. Used cars typically on stay on the lots 90 days - before they unload them to action - as short term financing for the dealer is in that bracket.
Just look on cars dot com, car gurus dot com to see them in your local area. Even Facebook market place has a lot of listings.

For a 2021 - a Aspec SHawd (trade in values) are $33k-$36K. Add a decent mark up and I know without a doubt I could get a clean, low mileage one for the in the very low $40k range. Used car values are falling faster than the FOMO rise in 21/22. Dealers are struggling - deals can be made. Maybe I need to start a training class on haggling in 2023?

Yeah, I am looking specifically for 2022 or 2023.
Of note...
This is with NO trade in or financing.
I have had 2 dealers in the last week offer me a 2022 Aspec AWD RDX for 40K and change.
I have another dealer who can give me a 2023 Aspec AWD RDX for 47.5K and change.
And this is in the middle of the month. So yeah...I think its possible to get another deal at the EOM or the end of the quarter.
Dealers will make money on the end of month/quarter/year bonuses I would imagine, not necessarily make money off of ME.
Incidentally one of those 40k deals they sold the car before I could look at...the other one is pending but not my first color choice.

My dealer in Western PA (where there are not a lot of Acura dealers) wants $47,988 for a 2022 A-Spec SH-AWD.
Their Mercedes division is still trying to get $42,988 for my 2021 Advance SH-AWD. They gave me $38,000 for it 6 weeks ago. I'll bet they're sorry now..
Maybe if you're in the Eastern half of PA, you can do better.

Yeah, the PA dealers are on crack if they think they are getting that much for a 2022. I can get a 2023 for that price.
And the 2024's are 60 days away. I will wait them out, or travel a bit and get the car I want at the price I want. Service from any dealership means nothing to me as I have an ace mechanic who I trust who is 10 minutes form my home.

Time, be patient and the deals are coming. All the FOMO spikes, supply chain restraints and over buying have boomerang back with low sales, high interest rates and a flood of used vehicles piling up on the car lots. Any dealer that’s putting a “market adjustment” is a dealer I would avoid, unless the market adjustment is way below MSRP.

I've also told some dealers to keep me in mind at the end of the month if they need a sale to meet their quota. Time is my leverage
