Infotainment issues

Yesterday when I started my 2019 Acura RDX, the infotainment system didnt go any further after displaying the standard disclosure. restarted the car multiple times, but no use.
After I came back home when i turned the car off, the infotainment screen was still on with the disclosure text on display. This morning when I tried to start the car it wouldn't start as the battery is dead.
I have to go the work in my second car for today and planning to take it to dealership tomorrow morning after powering the battery with external source.

Infotainment system hanging suddenly with no reason is not acceptable and to some extent I am ok with it not working as long as the car runs. But powering the battery down as it would still be running even after I turn my car off is definitely frustrating experience.

has anyone observed this kind of issue? Dont want to run to the dealership every time this happens again and some folks on the forum mentioned that this issue is being observed repeatedly.

I have also noticed that when using my iphone XS Max, the system automatically starts streaming music from my phone. It could be on Sirius or radio but randomly starts streaming music via bluetooth.

Ridiculous how many problems exist with the software from a company that should be better than this

Is there a way to manually turn off the infotainment? I haven’t experienced this issue but I think it would be helpful to know how to do it

Yes, a few of the members have had experienced this.
When the infotainment system stayed ON after turning off the RDX, you would need to pull out the #37 fuse wait for a few minutes and put it back in.

Do we get to charge Acura $150/hour for servicing our own vehicles? Or is this a "feature" of the RDX. Sorry, but this car is no longer new. Why can't they just fix the f***ing thing. Sorry for venting but these threads should be an embarrassment to Acura.

Yes, educated sales force describes such features ‘as designed’. Acura is in a business of making $$$, not in an investment mode to thrill naive customers waiting for a miracle fix or promised updates.

Slightly off topic. Does this car have a source button to switch between radio/bluetooth/SiriusXM?

Or am I suppose to look down press "apps" on the steering wheel and scroll.

They start as soft buttons on the infotainment screen and you can put them back if they get removed. Sometimes they will be on pages that can be accessed by swiping to the left. The system seems to be capable of many such side pages at any level. If you want to move a soft button to the main home screen for accessibility, that can be done, as well.

Got it repaired sday. service center guy told that it is a known issue and Acura is working on it. for now only thing they can do at the dealership is to reset the system.
when asked him how i can avoid this from happening again, he asked me to refrain from connecting my iphone to the car. what is the point in having apple car compatibility feature when you cant connect your phone to the car?

on top of this, LKAS and ACC are not working after coming back from the service center. Have to take it back to them again :-(
