I looked at the CRV ST before getting my RDX and was impressed overall. If it had ventilated seats, 360 camera and a spare tire, I probably would have been sold. I am waiting to see what the 2025 brings...might switch if they add some content

Gas prices back up to $6.29 a gallon for premium here. Approx 15.5 gallon fill today at $97.

Dang, that’s expensive. $2.93 regular / $3.53 premium at Costco in Texas. Guess the push is for all Cali people to buy electric. Some electric supercharges are now 50 to 60 cents a kilowatt to charge their now.

I'm hitting a Crossroads with my 22 MDX Advance as the lease expires next Month. I have the option to Buy (per the lease terms ) at $38,500 - the MDX only has 20K miles. No Problems at all since inception other than a "gremlin" that appears now and then where the Auto seat and Steering wheel do not engage when I step on the Gas to start it. I could extend the lease for up to 6 months at the current monthly of $610 with payment of the taxes on those 6 payments paid up front. If I do that the Buyout would reduce to $35,500 (according the Acura Financial Agent). By my calculations, that reflects about a 3.25% Lease interest rate. I could then leave those funds invested in a T Bill for the 6 Months earning 5.4% per annum. Then buy it out then. I have come across a 2021 RDX Advance being offered for sale nearby - at a different dealer than mine with 13.5K miles for $35,600. Although I truly enjoy my MDX - it's still good to be open to Options. Notwithstanding some negotiations to reduce the price on the RDX to say circa $34K, and the fact that based on similar Low Mileage 22 MDX Advances on Dealer lots being offered near or above $50K which gives me some good Equity, I'm interested to know mostly how has the RDX been on Gas, specifically real Life MPGs ? The 22 MDX is nowhere near the EPA numbers in the City and a bit closer on the Highway (especially if I keep her at 65-75 MPH) using Premium Gas too! I am an old timer and fully aware that the EPA numbers are usually overstated. I do realize that I am giving up comfort, and some features that the MDX has in exchange for a 2021 RDX. I really don't need a 3 ROW SUV, but when I saw and drove the newly redesigned MDX 3 years ago after watching tons of on Line Reviews....I was Hooked!. Fathom Blue Pearl with the Grey Leather Interior. I'm sure the MPGs for a 22 or 23 RDX will be comparable. Estimating that there is about at least $6K equity ($50,000 - $38,500 = $11,500 spilt that difference to me), apply the $6K to the RDX, hitting about $29,000 +/-, pay the sales taxes on that, buy it all cash. I intend to go see this RDX, Drive it and the see if deals as I propose are Doable? Or Just Keep my 22 MDX, buy it outright either now or in 6 months and then wait and see the new 25 RDX in the future months - especially if they re-introduce a Gas /Electric Sport Hybrid. FWIW, if Acura had offered a newly redesigned 22 MDX Sport Hybrid (2018-2020) - I wouldn't be having this discussion. IMHO, Acura missed that Mark Big Time. The Sport Hybrid MDX used the same 3.0L engine as the Type S with Electric motors boosting the HP to about 310HP and more torque than the 3.5L engine in mine WITH 20% more MPGs!

PSS: I just checked a few local Acura Dealers for Low Mileage 22 MDX Advances . Found two both priced circa $45-46K. There is probably Less "Equity" than first thought- bringing me in line with doing the 6 Month Lease Extension. That way I can continue to see if there are any problems popping up - notwithstanding normal service.
