How to find the oil filter type?

I am trying to find the oil filter type (part number), but can't find it? Also, any recommendations on which one to use with synthetic oil most likely Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W20.

Mostly all Honda/Acura use the exact same one

Most people recommend the AO1 filter over the AO2. They're interchangeable but the AO1 is supposedly built by a better manufacturer. Bobistheoilguy website has a ton of info on this sort of stuff.

Thanks mgrody.. that's a very informative site. I was thinking of getting the Mobile1 or similar synthetic oil filter and don't know which one to get. Most of the filter finder's don't have 3rd Gen RDX yet in their search dropdown.

Mobil 1 or Fram Ultra are reasonable alternatives to OEM, IMO. But I wouldn't use the basic Fram filters on my lawn mower.

I don't know about the Fram Ultra series, but a while back Consumer Reports did a filter test and Fram (pre-Ultra days I believe) as a brand was one of the worst. Also on some forum, might have been Bobistheoildguy, someone cut apart a bunch of filters and Fram's paper was noticably thinner and had fewer pleats (=less surface area) and the relief valve was held closed by thin spring steel fingers instead of a sturdy coil spring. Like car batteries most filters are made by a few companies. From what I remember, Purolaters were good, I've used these; don't know if Mobil1 filters are any good but I believe they are; and also K&N oil filters are good (wouldn't use K&N air filters though). For my old BMW inline six, it's Mahle all the way.

yep, Mobil1 filter way better than honda. I had them both cut open, and differnces in construction and filter media are very noticeable.
If you use Mobil1 filter you can chang filte every other time, the m1 filter can easily go 15k miles
