Has anyone tried 19 RDX Sport+ mode on local streets?
My Sport+ mode works perfect on freeways. Very aggressive driving and quick throttle response. However, I could barely use this mode on local street. I depressed gas pedal fairly gently, and RPM skyrocketed from 2k to 6k. I was frighten to a point if shift logic should go that way.
Anyone has same experience or comments on my case?
thanks,

Yes, I've used it in town off and on, and the revs go so high I'm sure the gas mileage is seriously impacted. I don't have hard numbers to prove it yet as I'm only on my second tank of gas, but I don't know how it couldn't impact it. Because of the turbo lag, comfort mode with auto off while taking a right turn feels sluggish to me. I've found myself leaving it in Sport mode and forgetting about the auto engine off toggle.

I am curious why you specified sluggish on right turn? What about left?

On a left you have to drive at least 10 feet into the intersection to cross it so it's already spun up enough to kick the turbo on. On a right its often an immediate right turn so with auto off, and no turbo, it seems to pause through the corner.
