My daughter received her drivers license and has been driving and left me with a low tank.
Tank showed 2km left it was 3km to gas station, showed 2km left entire way to the station.
Got 586km (364mi) on the tank, mostly city driving.
Tank took 59.4l (15.7 us gal), tank holds 64.7 l (17 us gal).

Not good to let the tank go so low.

 

When we were kids and borrowed the car we always returned it with the tank on empty. And I mean empty.🤣

 

When I was a kid I could always tell when my dad was on fumes.

"Dad, do we need to go to the service station?" (Back when they were actual "service" stations)

"Well, Vinny - let's put it this way. I'm on "G".

 

Also, when the tank shows "dead empty," we now know it still contains about 1 gallon (3.78 liters) of fuel, or about 25 miles (40 km) of range.

 

Good to know. Hope I never need to find out if mine works the same way.

Does low fuel light go on when its 3g left?

 

I think we had a different thread on this. It comes on at around 30 miles remaining for me which means it varies depending on the average mpg for the current tank and driving speed at that time.
