Discount on cars.com

This dealer in MD is offering $2K off the Tech SH-AWD - https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...8525/overview/

Could this be a bait and switch? I am tempted to drive the 300 miles to save $2K....

Well, in the small print at the bottom it does say freight is extra. So that’s $995 right there that you have to add to their price. Their price doesn’t include destination charge. So it’s really just $1000 off, which seems like what a lot of people are getting anyway

They are sneaky. The MSRP listed included the freight and then they decide to add it back later.

So, about $2750 off if you have loyalty and finance with Acura when you add the freight back in?

Two tactics they use with us were: (1) subtract the $995 from the MSRP, then add it back, and (2) Promised the $1,000 loyalty discount for a cash sale, and then when we came to the dealer, they said that only applied if you financed through them.

They kept a very straight face when they told me it only looked like a Bait and Switch. I thought I had been transported to a Ford dealership.
