I understand it’s a new car but the mf = 6.72% APR ouch.

Today I got to test drive a 2019 RDX and I'm liking the brakes a lot, I'm back to that familiar linear feel.

drove front drive A Spec. Hated it. Brakes awful. BMW owner. Front drive on A Spec? What is the point. too much engine for that.

Waiting for an Advanced in Gunmetal Metallic/Ebony to show up.
MSRP: $48,300
Selling Price: $47,641
Military Discount: $750
~$46,891
I would like to wait until closer to fall for prices to drop but recently sold my 2nd vehicle and the wife is currently out of a car haha plus with a new addition to the family (2 month old) the alh Jetta and car seats aren't a good combination for leg room.

I test drove a 2019 A-Spec RDX and 2019 A-Spec TLX today. The first thing I noticed about the RDX was that the brakes seem like you really do need to apply more pressure otherwise it keeps going. The person that compared them to Toyota brakes was spot on. I adjusted to them though and wasn’t bothered by them by the 2nd half of the test drive. It was just surprising when I first applied the brakes because I’m not used to Honda/Acura brakes feeling that way.. They’re not as bad as my 15 TLX, but not as good as the 19 TLX

I never thought leasing was the best option for value when everything is considered. I've seen some great leasing options/deals but RDX lease currently isn't great. If you plan to lease, I would wait. Also, one more thing, as a general rule if you plan to finance(buy) beyond 5 or 6 years, leasing is usually always better.

Picked up my new RDX Advance SH-AWD today, white with espresso. This is my fourth Acura—2005 MDX, 2014 MDX (traded for this), 2016 RDX. Some observations as an Acura owner:
1. HUGE improvement over previous RDX in every way
2. Acura will get many MDX trades like mine. I don't need a car that big, but at the time it was the most up to date.
3. If you don't get SH-AWD, you're missing out. Runs like an energetic dog wanting to please—plenty of quick power, smooth shifts, fantastic in the corners, you feel fully in control. I may get speeding tickets.
4. I wanted Advance features, and glad I got them. HUD is awesome (it floats out in front of you), seat bolsters cup you like a glove, foot operated hatch a nice feature, love ventilated seats. Not sure about surround view, seems wonky. Acoustic glass makes it very quiet.
5. Paid full price -$1000 loyalty (couldn't wait for various reasons, dealer got me the car in a week), $3000 down, low mileage lease, $590/month 36 months. Some free accessories, great price on my trade ($25,000 cash). Not cheap but seems worth it.
6. Always wanted espresso interior—very elegant with the wood and metal
7. So far, LOVE the interface. Apple Carplay doesn't work with Waze yet, which is a drag, but it will this fall with new iOS. Everything works much quicker than the plug-unplug-wait-reboot I had to do in the older MDX and RDX. I use Apple Music, iTunes music, Pandora and Waze. Siri works great to listen to voicemails, very clear. Touchpad rocks—takes a little getting used to, but is mostly eyes-free. Note: I love tech and am an early adopter, so others may not have the same reaction (my other half won't like it).
8. Shifter took a few minutes to get used to, but is very intuitive.
9. Hate the wheels, may buy Tech wheels on ebay. Who decided these were premium?!
10. Colors—Acura kicked it up a notch, but still missed the mark. New bronze color not available with matching espresso interior, red exterior not available with black on non-A-spec, red interior not available with red exterior on A-spec, new blue is nice but only A-spec. Tired of beige and grey interiors, but the black on Advance is nice with the contrast stitching, piping, wood and metal. A-spec black interior is very black. All the other exteriors are greys & blacks
11. A-spec exterior details should be available on Advance.
12. So far, huge step forward for the brand and a car I think I'll have a lot of fun in.

That is really great looking, congratulations! The interior is stunning.
My local dealer just got a bunch in stock. They went from having 9 to having 43.
How's the sound system? Is it as good as everyone says?

Sound system is awesome, but I'm waiting until the passenger seat is empty tomorrow so I can crank it up! I hear things in music I didn't know were there, and this is from compressed music files. I'm sure the lots will fill soon and the prices will be more negotiable, but I needed to get this quickly so it was worth the few extra dollars to me. The Advance interior in espresso or black is really first class.

Played around in the settings and found all kinds of goodies. Don't remember what they call it, but the seat goes back when you open the door to allow easier exit. Two thumbs up (had that in an older Explorer, loved it). Lots of ways to configure the auto door locks, lighting, HUD display, etc. All very intuitive once you get into it. Touchpad is a breeze to enter addresses by keyboard, much better than old rotary knob.

I haven't done maps, just music. The song title goes up when the song starts, then disappears. It can also show who's calling when a call comes in, same for message I think. But they show for a few seconds, then disappear. All the time, HUD shows speed, posted speed limit, option to show set speed for ADC and a few other safety items. Carplay and Acura system are a bit at odds with one another—with phone plugged in it goes right to Carplay and you bypass Acura controls (but you can go back to Acura home screen). And the touchpad changes to a more conventional one with Carplay (more swiping around). I have to play with it more to work out the details.

I find the Advance/Platinum wheels to look better in person than pics, especially as they have a nice grey hue. They would grow on me.....as have my 2016 tLX 2.4 rims. As I have said before....love the car and transmission....eventually love the rest! I love my espresso interior, but the saddle brown does look stunning, especially with the real wood trim. Great choice!

Option wise, better audio, blind spot sensors, rims, and seat material. The base seats are fine and look and fell like leather. And to your point, the base model comes packed with features you wouldent expect at its price point especially the pano roof...
#103
And I'm assuming the navigation is still horrendous, so I would be using my phone still.
#104
So is the audio noticeably bad? The only other feature I would want is probably the blind spot sensors. The rims are just painted gray on the inner parts I think - same design though.

$750 is not a discount. It is from AFS if you finance with them and counts as a down payment.
I am eligible for it as well and wish I still had my old Acura to get another $1000 off
Good deal!!

Modern Steel Metallic AWD Advance/Ebony with all-weather mats thrown in rather than the $185 they were asking. Do they really think I’m that stupid?
I got $1000 off sticker, but was really lowballed on my trade. You can’t beat car dealers at their rigged game. Nothing has changed with the salespersons since I bought my first Acura in 2003, except for the new Acura logo polo shirts. The clown pants, white belts, and white shoes were gone, however. Otherwise, the same old, same old BS and hard sell for useless packs and 78 month payments! Really? Paid using a personal check and had to fill out several papers to prove I wasn’t a terrorist or money laundering.

so just walk out and goto another dealer. I hope you do understand that Acura does not own those dealerships....

Which Chicagoland dealers are most competitive on price. I am looking into the AWD Tech or A-Spec models and have tried a few and most are not willing to go down from list price. I did find one yesterday that began to budge.

Phantom Blue - Advanced
Located on in Arlington Heights, IL on Friday. WOW! What a car just getting insurance cleaned up - can't wait to start driving this new car. it was finally time to put down the '02 CAMRY SE. that was a great car for the entire time we owned it. This is the first Acura - very exciting!
Try to find a car that has just landed on their lot - they won't have to pay the floor plan costs and may be more willing to negotiate.
Rohrman Acura was GREAT to deal with - no pressure, very nice people, excellent place to buy a car.

I'm definitely going to have to check one out in person. In pictures the Expresso seats with the rest of the interior being black or grey just doesn't look right to my eye.

Had espresso in my TLX- it’s a really nice color; I always got compliments. If I went with the Advance RDX I would’ve gone with espresso interior. I wish Acura offered more interior colors like the Unber color they had in the 4G TL

Not officially purchased but I did put a deposit down on an Advance White/Parch. The three dealers up here were not moving much so I only got $500 off sticker. They have a lot of 2018 inventory from what I can see online and I believe that impacts their ability to get new ‘19s in so the new model is slowly coming in. If I could wait for November I would as I’m sure by then the 18s will be gone and more selection of 19s where you could save another $1K at least.
And this is my first Acura
