A 2019 RDX w/tech package is in the garage. Lunar Silver, windows being tinted Tuesday. $500 under MSRP, no charges on a CRV lease turned in with 5,000 miles over lease terms and lease through April, 2020.
Wife loves it, just need to figure out the "intuitive" infotainment system.

Here is a pic of the wife's new ride. I don't normally buy first year model but have had pretty good luck with Honda/Acura vehicles in the past and the CRV needed to get turned in due to high mileage.

New guy here...I picked up an AWD A-Spec in Apex Blue with Ebony interior on Saturday here in St. Louis. Same experience as others with next to no haggling. I got $1000 loyalty(several to the dealer network not Acura brand), and another $1000, plus accessories at supposedly cost (all weather mats, locks, splash guards, etc.) . I really wanted the HUD, heated rear seats and steering wheel in the Advanced, but like the look of the A-Spec much better. The dampers felt too soft to me, so that made the choice a little easier to go the A-Spec route also. I drove both for a couple of hours before deciding.
I'll post pics once I get my time and posts in.

My local dealership told me only $300 off + $1k loyalty. Seems like everyone is getting $500, may ask about more money off this weekend when I go in again to talk about which color to choose and if I want the base or tech pkg.

Was your accessories close to $1k in value? I do plan on getting all weather mats but I want to wait for the weather tech mats when they come out.

My dealer also said they got 27 new 2019s in, but several that were different combinations than what they ordered, so people are still waiting on initial orders. They had 11 left as of this afternoon, and over 40 2018s.

2019 RDX Tech SH-AWD
Picked up a 2019 Tech SH-AWD yesterday. Fathom Blue/Greystone. Traded my 17 RDX Advance for it. Figured if I was going to get the new model might as well get going on it now. I think this new RDX is going to be popular. Still trying to figure out the touchpad though..a lot of hidden features and it didn't come with an instruction book.....

You didn’t mention the front seats as something you wanted from the Advanced - could you not tell much difference in comfort with the additional adjustments (leg extension and side bolsters)?
Appreciate your thoughts.

Picking up my new RDX tomorrow morning.
Traded a 2016 TLX SH-AWD Tech that is Bellanova White Pearl with the Espresso interior.
Love that combination but wanted to get something different this time.
I got Performance Red Pearl with Parchment leather on a Tech model with SH-AWD which is exactly what I was looking for.
I like the Advance Package but, couldn't do the extra 5K.
Don't really care for the A-Spec package. Love the red leather but, I'm old and still prefer chrome to dark trim. I also like the brushed aluminum trim vs the wood on the Advance.
They're not in the mood for discounts after only 4 days on sale. I got the corporate $1,000 loyalty discount and played a dealer 15 miles away against my local dealer and ended up getting an extra $1,000 on the trade-in.
Based on my experiences with the TLX, I was either brave or crazy to buy a new Acura model the first week out of the gate but, patience is a virtue that I've never had.

Nice, Post pics! I tried this exact combination but MSRP plus doc fee plus $700 Mat package. So I passed. Dealer refused to accept my offer of $43,300 for Tech AWD.
Car sitting there and I offer $43,300 on the spot. He said NO. That ended my chance of any dealings again in Springfield Missouri. Go elsewhere. Greedy.

So even in sport+, the active dampers in the advanced seemed softer than the suspension in the A-spec?

The leg extensions would have been nice, but I'm 5'8" and the extensions don't offer a ton of benefit for me. The bolsters in the A-Spec seats would have been an ideal sportier choice, but I'll probably only toss around a two ton SUV for the first couple of months. The Advanced seats probably need the bolsters as they extremely slippery given the type of leather and no "supersuede" to hold you in place.
After a little more time behind the wheel I'll give an owners perspective.

In Sport+ it was similar, but the shifts are held too long IMHO. I really would like to have a selective system like, I believe Audi has, where one could select the Sport+ suspension for the active dampers, and the gear ratios/holds from Comfort. I would guess gas mileage goes WAAAAAY down in Sport+ mode, especially in traffic.

Can I make a request of you and all of the other new owners out there to share your impressions of the True Touch Interface after you spend some extended time with it? Most review impressions have been good-to-mixed, but none of them are owners who have spent a lot of time with the system.
I spent quite a while today setting up all my vehicle and systems preferences, phone, audio, etc.
I had no problems with the new touchpad and found it a lot easier than twirling the knob and clicking with the previous system (TLX).
It is way more intuitive than finding the settings in the older system.
This is coming from a senior citizen.
It does seem odd, though that they used the prime real estate for the big controller knob and all it does is selects the IDS. Seems like a waste to me.
The touch pad, however is good for me so far.
Thanks,

There is the short game or the long game. Why turn down a pretty good deal and loose a long term Acura fan?
Most dealers are crafted and honed on the immediate gratification. Yes a law of sales but the short view.
Just my thoughts on an over of $43,300 on an AWD tech.

Thanks for the quick impressions. That's really good to hear. I know there are safety benefits to Acura using the touch pad vs touch screen, but how would you compare the ease of using a touch pad vs using a traditional touch screen (such as on a phone or tablet)? Have you found yourself wishing you could just reach up and tap the screen to get where you want to go?
While driving, it is safer and easier to use the touchpad because there's a padded wrist rest in front of it so you are able to tap that position of the touchpad where it will invoke the proper screen icon without having to look at the screen while doing it.
Example: You know the icon for SiriusXM is lower center or top right, you can tap there without having to look.
I'm explaining this badly.
You just need to try it.
The learning curve is very quick.

Although I might be more comfortable using a phone-style touchscreen directly, there is method to their madness.

I found that the ability to use a finger to write instead of type words made it really easy to use the navigation while driving.

alot can be done on the steering wheel as well using the various controls. The left side pulls up apps to switch from say xm to apple car play and you can navigate the menus from there. Voice commands also work well.

Gunmetal/Black SH Advance, $1500 off of MSRP, Massachusetts.
Thanks to everyone on the forums for the great info...I went in knowing more about the car than the dealer!
One interesting point after driving for a bit: If you wear polarized sunglasses they REALLY limit your view of the HUD. Can't say that's Acura's fault, but this is the first time I've had a HUD and I do drive with sunglasses frequently.

this is is how they all work. So, next time, get unpolarized sunnies, and stuff a pair of polarized clip-ones when you really need them, like driving into the sun.
I was at a BMW event and drove an X3 (great car, a real alternative if Acuras don’t come down in price), and I was, what the heck, no Nav in a demonstration car? Then I smacked myself on the head, said I “coulda had a V8”, and switched to my regular glasses, and there it was.

Since there is a picture of a silver 2019 RDX already on this thread, I won't bother duplicating it with a picture of my silver one with Advance trim and AWD which is now sitting in my garage. Both available internal color schemes were on the lot for the silver exterior in the Advance trim AWD so I had a chance to compare the two. (silver and expresso). The expresso trim was striking but my preference was that it would have looked great with a black exterior, but I did not like it so well with the silver exterior so I went with the silver interior. I got a few hundred off the initial standard price presented to me and a another few hundred added to my 2004 TL trade in so I guess I did OK. I doubt if the dealers will come down too much if the demand for this is there which I bet will be.
I was prepared to pay cash, but the finance person at the dealer gave me a 1+ % interest rate for 3 years with 0 down. The cumulative interest rate over the three year period was around $1400, so I thought that would be less than what that amount of money could yield if still in my accounts.
The salesman went over the controls, but I can see myself sitting in the garage for the next few evenings with the manual cementing all of this in my brain. Good luck with your experiences. And oh, I am only 30 miles away from West Liberty, OH where the vehicle was assembled, so I feel pretty good about helping keep the business local and the factory guys and gals busy.

Note - I have polarized lens in my prescription glasses and had no issues and had no issues with the HUD. It likely has to do with the type of polarization used. You will have to try it so see if it is impacted with your glasses.

That is thus far the best deal seen here. What was DOC fee and price of any mandatory accessories? This helps us all navigate the hard to find deals on a car one week out! thanks
