Dealership Service Maintenance Question

Dealership Service Maintenance Question
Hi all,
I know that a lot of the dealership recommended services are just money-makes for them. However, I noticed that the B service consists of them cleaning/lubing the brakes. Is this worth doing to prevent any long-term brake related issues? Just curious what you all think about this part of that service.
Thanks!

I looked at B service, says check brakes, does not say lubricate. Brake parts should be lubed as part of brake job. Its labor intensive to take it apart to lube again, does not seem like its a justifiable expense

Even if it lubricating was listed in the B service, I would bet money that they don't actually do anything but visually inspect the brakes.

The pins need greasing in your brakes, not a big job. I didn't do this one yet but my 2013 RDX had rubbers on the pins, if so you need the proper grease (the orange stuff), don't overtighten the bolts on the calipers, I don't remember the torque but it's not that high 30's I think.

Found this fast on Youtube, there are many others. If those pins don't move freely, you will find one pad worn and the other one nice and thick. And dragging brakes don't do much for your fuel economy. Again check for a small o-ring rubber on the pin, if so regular brake grease will swell the rubber, first time I saw one of those rubbers was on my 2013
