I love my ‘20 RDX A-Spec, but the one thing that bugs me is the cheap feel of the steering wheel.

I see a lot of carbon fibre steering wheels on eBay and online stores that have leather side grips, but nothing with Alcantara/suede. I also see a lot of cheap covers that will look just that… cheap.

I don’t care about carbon fibre or custom colours, I just want my A-Spec wheel to have soft side grips (like I have on my C63 AMG).

Does anyone have a solution?

I have a friend that does a lot of custom upholstery for steering wheels and other interior parts. You can find someone similar to do the same! He used to be on here but i dont think he checks in anymore. He’s in the southern california area but if you are willing to take off your wheel and ship it, he can do it and send it back. Im sure most companies offer a similar service or also may have cores on hand to make and send you and you just send your original back

I have mine replaced.
IMHO alcantara looks and feel very good but require a lot attention to take care of, especially hand grip area

I see by your profile you are from Canada. One consideration in doing some form of covering on the steering wheel will be the probably loss of a heating function of the steering wheel. Most “custom” places will only supply something that goes over the existing wheel.

Man I'm in love with this! Question though, was it not possible to preserve the A-Spec logo on the wheel?
