Covid-19 and Acura Finance

Just wondering if anyone has called Acura (US or Canada) to explore options for people with respect to lease or finance payments. Obviously everyone is currently and will be under increased financial hardship and I am wondering what if anything Acura is offering by means of flexibility.

I have been told that Ford is allowing lease/finance customers to defer some payments and they will add them onto the end of the term - eg. if you are in month 1 of a 48 month lease and defer 3 payments, your lease will now run for a total of 51 months with you still making only 48 payments. No mention of interest penalties, etc.. that's all I heard.

Let's share any info we have and help us all out as we navigate this crazy time.

Acura Canada offering to defer 2 months of payments until anytime up to including end of lease. No interest. No penalties. May revisit if things continue to stay bad.

I cannot see on their website about a statement that they’re letting 2 month deferred payment without penalties or interest, to me it has to be in writing not over the phone..

Are you leasing? The deferral without penalty is only for lease customers. Financing is different - no idea the deal. And this is for Canada.

I'm a US buyer, not a leaser. I purchased in late February. My first payment was due April 11. I called last week and they immediately kicked my payments 2 months down the road. No additional interest or penalties. So my first payment is now June 11. It took all of 10 minutes.
