I had a small nuisance leak in the right rear tire (about 3 psi in a month) and since there is a ton of new home construction around me, I suspected a nail. I jacked up that wheel and started to spin the tire by hand. Nope…. Then I remembered the “intelligent” electric parking brake. This is my first vehicle with that unfortunate feature. I couldn’t figure out any way to disable it so I could check the tread visually. So I dismounted the wheel and found a nail in the center tread. I got it repaired at the tire store.

Sure, with it on the ground, I could use a mirror and flashlight, then start the engine and drive it a few feet and repeat the process... But there must be a way for a tech to spin the wheels when doing brake and drivetrain inspections up in the air. Does the car “know” it is off the ground and turn it off?😳Any comments? Thanks.

could be the SH-AWD..unless both are off the ground..no spinny

Just take it to Les Schwab and get it fixed

It sounds like you enabled the Automatic Parking Brake feature at some time, since the RDX is not shipped with that feature enabled.
