Any real word on 2021 RDX?
I’m from MA and am trying to learn if and when there will be a 2021 RDX Advance SHAWD. While I realize COVID has slowed things down, might this mean there is no 2021 model, or they will just slap a 2021 sticker on 2020 cars at some point?
While I expect very little to change on the 2021s, I’m hoping for at least a few minor improvements in infotainment, and maybe electric folding mirrors, etc.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

There's been a lot of speculation in other threads, but nothing conclusive but if I had to guess, I'd say there will be a 2021 model, and that it will have minor differences. Power mirrors would be nice. I don't see any real differences in the infotainment happening because the new TLX has almost exactly the same system, though some button placement is different (and it would be great if that filtered over to the RDX). Engine might be tuned a bit better too, per the TLX. Maybe some new colors. Otherwise, I don't know what improvements are likely to be made.

Yes we know! You Canadians are always reminding us of that!

Yeah, yeah, rub it in. There in Canada you have several desirable features that we don't get in the US. I think our option to adjust auto-on headlight timing is our singular advantage. (Maybe cost too)
I'm guessing, but I expect a '21 RDX with updates that aren't significant, but enough to refresh the vehicle. I don't expect power updates since the new TLX and MDX are still using our engine, as is.

I have read that some other car makers are putting off 2021 uptakes and model changes due to the impact on the market. Nothing would surprise me right now given the situation we are in.

Come January 2021 nobody is going to want a 2020 RDX. Model years exist as much for marketing purposes as they do for marking the year a car was manufactured.
Any changes planned for the RDX have been planned for much longer than the last three months. And it’s not like people at Honda have been sitting on their asses not doing anything during this time. Things might be slower to catch up but I expect a 2021 RDX will come in the next month or two at the latest. Whether there is a big announcement probably depends on whether there are any significant changes.

While not specific to the '21 RDX, this new airbag design may be included.
"Acura will get to launch Honda’s new airbag design, cradling the front passenger’s head and helping avoid brain injuries with a clever triple-bag layout. The new airbag – which has been compared to a baseball catcher’s mitt, only in this case your head is the ball – was previewed by Honda last year, and will make its commercial debut in the 2021 Acura TLX."

Drifting
And puddle lights, so you can see the nasty slop you are about to step in before you go right ahead and step in it, eh!
Cuz Canadians are hard like that.
As for 2021 RDX, mid-cycle refresh would typically be after three years, which would put it at 2022 model year, coming out sometime in 2021 calendar year. But then there's this little other issue right now.

Fitment and quality issues will hopefully be better with 2021. I can spot a couple places where gap lines are wonky and my tailgate makes fart noises when opening. Infotainment is still glitchy sometimes.
Always room for improvement.

you should have that looked at. The “fart noises”. Sounds like a known issue with the clearance of the hatch and the roof. This happens to me in cold weather, and I think there’s been some paint damage as a result. I have been keeping a list of small things to bring to the dealer when this pandemic mess is done and I take the car in for service.
