AHMOTA wifi network
Once in awhile, while I was driving my 2019 RDX, the head unit would say "lost connection to AHMOTA network". I think that's related to wifi, but I never added AHMOTA network . What is that?

I get the same message everyday. It’s not a problem. It happens when you go past an Acura Dealer. That is the name of their WiFi in the service dept so every time your near a dealer the car hops on their WiFi and once your out of range the connection is lost. That network was added to the car after it was delivered to the dealer. I believe all Acura Dealers use the same name. I have seen it referenced in serveral of the accessory instructions.

From the Honda Odyssey Owner's Manual: "This system has preset connections like AHMOTA, CHOTA, and OTA that are pre-registered for connecting at your Honda dealer. You can not change these settings from Allow."
At least in the Odyssey (and Accord and probably others), these Wi-Fi network are "baked in" at the factory and cannot be prevented from connecting. In my 2018 Accord, I can confirmed that these network names could not be removed or prevented from connecting at Honda dealers.
Last year, I stumbled upon some documentation (that has since disappeared) that was intended for use by IT departments working for Honda dealers to create these networks. The instructions involved allowing access only to specific Honda update servers. All other traffic was blocked, so you couldn't use them for purposes other than downloading updates for the Display Audio system.
