2022 RDX A-Spec Advance, Picked up on 12/24/21
Hey all, just picked up my new 2022 A-Spec. I have looked at the RDX many times since 2019 but never pulled the trigger, until now. Picked up a stock Liquid Carbon with black interior.
First Impressions.
The engine is noiser than my last car (2021 BMW 330i), but with the increased weight of the crossover from the sedan, its got a potent drivetrain. Took it on a cruise today around Palm Beach County, Roof wide open, windows down cruising 441 to Atlantic to A1A, back down to home in Coral Springs. Fantastic audio system, just truly amazing. My largest fear was the infotainment, and to be honest, its not a hard to grasp concept, and after todays ride, I feel fine with the setup. Buttery smooth shifts, all in "Normal" driving like a gentlemen.
I used amber tint on the fogs, and mildly smoked tint on the clear parts of the taillights. Just ordered LED Turn signals, and the list will grow.

Sweet ride. I put in the LED rear blinker bulbs, makes a world of difference. Super easy to install, pop the cover off the back light when the hatch is open, remove the bolts, pull the rear tail lamp straight out away from the SUV (not back like away from the Leigh gate, rather like you were pulling a side window straight off) as there is a grommet holding it in on the side.
I have been using these for a year, never an issue. Super bright.

[QUOTE=SG103;16783020]Nice... The Mustang is not too shabby also. LOL[/that was my 50th birthday gift to myself. Been working since I’m 13, at some point you just have to enjoy it. Thank you.

Bought it CPO last February with 3400 miles on it. Just broke 6000 miles and still smile ear to ear when it starts and while driving it.

Congrats on your new RDX- looks very sharp! The RDX is short on our list, but we cant stand the infotainment and its silly limitations - tiny and poor backup camera, no touch screen, 2/3 usable screen for most functions including Apple CarPlay etc. BMW X3 is our second choice, but with chip shortages, it seems 2022 models are not a good buy due too many features disappearing, including the touch, so we might hold out till 2023.
How is the carplay or android auto expirience in RDX from the BMW owner perspective? This would be a car for my wife and she can quickly get frustrated if things are not working as expected or difficult to use, so I am trying to avoid making 50k mistake.

Used a heat gun, a VERY sharp knife and some vehicle wrap and wrapped the front surround on the "A" then used a piece of air release tint to cover the middle. I had done this on my neighbors Pilot and his adaptive cruise worked fine. if not I can easily pull the center.
Also tinted the turn signals in the side mirrors.

Ordered A-Spec black badges and blacked out the badges using Plastic-dip.
it's coming along.
Spare tire kit is on order..... That could be a while.
Masked and sprayed 6 coats of Dip
Masking removed, after an hour or so its cured and I can peel the over spray like rubber cement.

Can’t say I am digging all the mods, but to each his / her own. I can’t wrap my head around the idea that someone would drop $50k+ on a luxury SUV, then “trick” it out to look like a GMC Terrain. Just stay true to the art form that is the unadulterated RDX.

Those are the same ones I bought for my 2021 RDX Aspec SHawd. They will work/fit, as Lasfit has not updated their site past 2020 models. Since the RDX has not changed any taillight design. Mine have been in since 12/2020 and work flawlessly. I prefer getting them off Amazon, less expensive, free shipping and as easy to return of you don't like them - zero hassles.
