2022 RDX Lease

Has anyone returned a lease of a 2019/2020 RDX and leased a new 2022? If so, what were the basic terms of the deal? Im hoping to turn in my 2019 Aspec and lease a new 2022 Aspec/Advance with no money out of pocket. I owe 25k on my lease with 20k miles. Thanks!

We turned in (actually traded in) my wife’s 19 MDX Aspec SH-AWD back in June (6 months early). With the current high values in the used car market I recommend you look at trading in your 19 Aspec as you’ll likely have positive equity. Then you can apply that positive equity to the new lease if you’d like. DON’T just do a lease turn in, look into your 19 Aspec’s value on the market currently. You might have 6-7K of equity in your 19 Aspec. If it’s worth 31K on trade the dealer would payoff the remaining lease amount of 25K and you’d get the difference.

Bottom line is talk to your dealer about trading in your 19 Aspec vs. doing a lease turn in.

For sure will more than likely negotiate a trade in. No way I am just going to turn in the car and walk. Even if I did not lease another RDX I would pay off the lease, get the title and sell it for a 6-7k profit at minimum.

Depending on how many months you have on the lease vs. the current value, you may be able to go from one Acura lease to another because the current value of the RDX would cover the remaining lease payments to pay off the existing lease. I returned a 2019 TLX Advanced with 8 months of payments left in May 2021 and got into a 2021 RDX Advanced but with some some out of pocket costs like first month's payment and disposition fees, etc. that were required at purchase. All of this is dependent on the market conditions and the dealer you are working with on the deal you ultimately get. Dealers are dying for used cars now so you may be in an excellent position to do something.
