2022 Advance (US) - Rear Air Vent Temperature Control (?)

I saw in the manual that certain models supposedly have a temperature dial for the rear air vents.

My ‘22 Advance does not have this unfortunately. I Googled a Canadian RDX review from 2019, and there *is* a rear temperature control dial pictured.

To confirm, is this is yet another “Canada oddly gets another feature that the US doesn’t” scenario, or did I get accidentally shorted? Assuming the former!

It certainly wouldn’t be worth more than $100 of my time/money, but I wonder if this could be retrofitted if the internal HVAC hardware is already in place.

I own the Canadian Platinum Elite version (2020) and I have this feature. In another thread regarding poor AC performance, I suggested that the OP should make sure that the rear seat control was not set to output hot air. Everyone thought I was crazy, but a conclusion was finally reached that only the highest Canadian trim levels have this feature. The original thread is HERE

I guess it's a nice feature, but since I never have any rear seat passengers, it is of no value to me. In fact it can be a nuisance if you forget to change the temperature settings from one season to another. You can have the temperature from the rear vents battling with the temperature from the front vents.

Thanks for confirming that this is a Canadian-market-only feature and the reference to the earlier thread.

While it’s not often I have backseat passengers either, my previous three MDXs beginning with my 2003 had a temperature adjustment tor the rear HVAC vents, so slightly disappointing.

I recall the 2014 Canadian MDX could be equipped with power folding mirrors, a surround-view 360° camera, heated steering wheel, and heated windshield, all of of which weren’t made available until the 2017 MDX refresh in the US.

At least we finally got the power folding mirrors for 2022, which the Canadian RDX has had since at least 2016…
