2020 RDX keeps dying (3 times in 2 weeks)
Hi
Have had the 2020 RDX for 5 years now. Had no issues until 2 weeks ago.
2 weeks ago (after a 2 week vacation of no car usage) the car died and wouldn't respond to the remote to open or start. AAA serviced the battery and replaced it.
2 days later the car was dead again (the lights kept flickering before it died). This time had it towed to the dealership. They did a full diagnostics, which found nothing. They replaced the battery again.
3 days later, this morning (after heavy rain; there was some water leak in to the car), the car flashed a lot of warnings. Then it died (with lights flickering again).
Earliest appointment I can get to the dealer is 5 days away. I see a few old threads about HFL issues about 10 years ago. Not sure if it's still relevant. Any known issues?
Thanks

Any aftermarket attachments? Dash cam, radar detector, LED bulbs, etc? Sounds like you have a parasitic draw

At least to rule things out, check the negative battery cable where it attaches to the chassis ground point. In doing a battery replacement that is rarely checked but if in poor condition has cause issues.

If you have a multimeter, you can check the voltage across the terminals. Either the battery isn’t charging properly, or there’s some sort of parasitic draw on it.
