When removing old HONDA filter arrow were pointing down. On the plastic cover arrow indicates up. So what's the proper air flow: top to bottom or bottom to top?

Most of youtube videos indicates top to bottom should be right installation even thought plastic cover says something else.

Airflow arrow should be pointing down. My guess is someone put the plastic cover on “upside down”.

Do you mean the cabin air filter?

Unless otherwise stated, the filter arrow should be pointing down. The arrows on the cover indicate which side is up for the cover so that it will be installed correctly.
