2019 RDX A-Spec teaser - NY auto show release
Looks like production model will be introduced in a couple of weeks. Acura posted this A-Spec teaser today:

At least the wheels look more unique and sporty than the current gen. That said, not sure I'm a fan of that design.

Nice looking tease shot.
More importantly for me, I am anxiously waiting to see "actual" HP/TQ when the production RDX is released at the New York Auto show on March 28.
We Calgarians, have our auto show starting Wednesday this week and even though they will have the prototype cordoned off, I hope Acura opens some of its doors for me to take a closer look for what should be a production interior.

Hopefully, most/all A-Spec upgrades can be added to any trim level in the accessory section. Worried they might only make A-Spec available for the tech sh-awd version and not add on parts for the base, Adv, or fwd versions.

Just a matter of time before it trickles down to Acura.. Hopefully.

If the TLX approach is the way they go, A-Spec is a stand-alone model, priced in between Tech and Advance/Elite and available in FWD/AWD.

I'm not too sure if I like that? I was able to upgrade my 06 TSX to the A-Spec version using the Acura accessory section to add all the parts (except for the badges). That was one of the things liked about Acura of old was with or without Navi as the only major option to pick and all other accessories were available for every model. I would want an RDX sh-awd Adv A-Spec as one of my choices. Might have to wait to see if they have a Type-S, Type-R, or sh-sh-awd RDX down the road in the Adv version.

Come to Canada. We have cookies, and TLX A-Spec trims on both Tech and Elite (Advance), with your choice of the I4 or V6. I'm hoping Acura Canada will continue offering A-Spec on both the Tech and Elite for the 2019 RDX.

Not sure about that. The "Build your TLX" section on acura.ca give you the option of adding A-Spec OR Elite (Advance) to the Technology package. This would again, like the US, put the A-Spec in between the Technology and Advance choices.

Canada gets all the cool stuff! The TLX A-Spec Adv with I4 would my model of choice if it was available in the states because it would remind me so much of my TSX A-Spec my son still drives now. No Canada for me. I like have a cold winter day being 45-50 degrees in New Mexico and I would miss my fresh green chile enchiladas and green chile cheese burgers.

Regarding the RDX, I just read an Auto.Com article about the New York show and they mentioned the production model would have an 8 speed transmission. I thought the original notion was a differently tuned version of the Accord 10 speed.

No, you will see all the trim levels listed under Specifications - there are 10 of them. Base, Technology, ASpec Technology, Elite, Aspec Elite for both the 2.4 and 3.5 engine choices. I understand the Acura US will be offering similar choices for 2019.

Also, like mentioned above. You can get the TLX with both A-Spec in the I4/V6 and Tech/Advance trims.

That is not true at all, the RDX is absolutely getting the 10AT, they mentiomed that like 70000 times during the press release and all official related docs. Besides the only 8AT Acura/Honda has is the 8DCT from the ILX that isn’t powerful enough to handle the 2.0T power.
Absolutely correct and confirmed by the head engineer at the 5:00 mark. Can not wait to see this. Acura has hit a home run.

Hey Everybody,
I was at my Acura dealer in NJ yesterday. They said the new '19 RDX's are in dealers this May. Not sure if that's true or not but that's what they said.
I'll be looking to head over to the autoshow in NYC.

If it's anything like other pano moonroofs I've seen, the front half should open and slide under the back half.

Personally, I love that it's closer to mid size territory. I have two young kids though and space is always nice for the bulky car seats and strollers.

White A-Spec for me. I like it but was hoping for a little more in the torque dept. However, the 10 speed auto should keep the turbo spooling consistently across the power band.
Still own a first gen RDX and the new one will be complementing it.
I wonder how heavy the new RDX is...ok Motor Trend, Car and Driver, Road and Track, or whoever, get on the "First drive" list and give us the numbers and bum/gut feel perspective please.
Will be visiting my local Acura to put down a deposit regardless.

I am very happy with Acura's work here. The A-SPEC is just a bonus and looks amazing.
Good luck to people to those who are going to buy one in the next couple of months Lucky folks!

Just wish we had pricing. I saw the A-Spec sizing at 255/45/20. Wish there was a little more meat on there than 45mm. NJ roads this year are bad.

Well done, Acura! Loving the steering wheel, red accent stitching, red seat design, silver gauges, and alcantara on the dash. Will look great paired with either White Diamond Pearl or Signature Blue Pearl.

Wonder what it will look like in Black. I've always been a fan of black vehicles but that blue colour and even the white look great on the A-spec!

How much is current rdx aspec with all the bells and whistles? Id imagine new rdx will be priced similarly, maybe up msrp by 1-2k. And if demand is big you wont get it bellow msrp

The 2G RDX doesn't have an A-Spec option. It will be new for the 3G. Here in Canada, the TLX A-Spec Elite carries a $3500 premium over the standard Elite, so I don't think Acura will price the 3G RDX A-Spec trim out of the stratosphere.
