When I use my phone as an audio source, sometimes I have to turn the stereo volume up pretty high (audio books, podcasts etc). When I switch to XM, it is painfully loud if I don't remember to turn the volume back down. Is there a way to have the stereo start at a low level when switching sources or when first starting the RDX?

 

I'm not sure if this is the case (since I don't have this problem and haven't tested) but is this because the volume on your phone is low? Would turning up the volume on your phone instead of your car make allow you to keep the volume lower for input sources?

 

yes, turn up volume on phone, then car radio doesn't need to be so loud
