Hi everyone, new MDX owner here. I was looking for a 2015 SH-AWD Tech. I paid $49500 OTD. There was only one at each local dealership, the rest were FWD and 2016s.

I ended up getting the last one at Cerritos Acura. Had to fight for them to give me 1st and 2nd floor all season floor mats lol. It also came with the living hinge for the cargo area. It was in the exact exterior color I liked Forest Mist Metallic, but the interior was the Parchment.

Congrats and enjoy-I've had mine six weeks and look forward to driving it every day no matter the weather conditions. The confidence it inspires in the snow is incredible.

Thanks, I'm not a suv guy and I'm still getting used to the dimensions. Mostly parking lol. I feel like I'm too close to the edge of something, but when I get out there's like a good foot and a half lol.

The things I don't like so far are what seems to be mushy brakes and the sluggish response of navigation input.

I actually like the touchscreen itself though. Everything else is nice. The handling is exceptional for a suv. I haven't taken the shawd to the limit and I probably won't ever, but those on ramps are fun to turn into

Ha ha-I'm not an SUV guy either-other cat is 2012 TL SH-AWD and I too had to get used to the dimensions especially going into and out of my garage. There is plenty of room but you need to get comfortable with the larger size.

I am very happy with the gas mileage as well. On a 100 mile trip with some heavy traffic for a half hour I averaged 28.4 MPG. Would have approached 30 without the bumper to bumper I was in.

I do mostly city driving, but so far I'm getting 19.1 MPG. Of course I'm babying it right now since it's breaking in though

So for a 2015 MDX SH-AWD tech what price should I shoot for? Also, anyone lease here? 2015 or the 2016 which has better numbers? I guess the 2016's won't be discounted as much as the 2016's.

Based on my personal experience, you can get OTD close to what's on the sticker. Two dealers had 1 each of the 2015 SHAWD in my area. One of the two dealers that had a 2015 left wanted 4k more for a 2016 model. I purchased/financed mine. Got 1.9% for 36 months.

Leased a 15 SH AWD Tech 3 weeks ago. 3/36K. First payment down, rolled everything else in. $532 a month with $1K trade equity. $832 sales tax rolled in. All weather mats thrown in. Much better money factor on the 15.

Just closed the fwd tech MDX for $42,430 before tax and surcharges (drive out at $45,500). Also got 2.9% for 60 months financing.

Good deal?

I purchased a 2015 SHAWD Tech a few weeks ago. I was going to wait for the summer, but wanted to check if any closeout pricing on the 2015. I traded an 07 RDX Tech with 90k miles in good condition (though had a major accident 6 months after I bought it new in 2007).

I was offered between $44700-$46000 (including destination) + TTL (all dealers charged a $299 processing fee in my area) just based on email inquiries.

After visiting 4 dealers (2 which said they couldn't come close to the price offered by the other 2), I essentially got a net price of 31750+TTL, which was $34200 OTD with 6% sales tax and $299 dealer processing fee. I negotiated net, but felt I was getting $43750 for the car price and $12000 for the trade-in, which was on the very high side of what I thought was fair, though they wrote it up as $46000 for the sales price and 14250 for the trade-in (which is $1000 higher than most asking prices by private parties online), so I'm sure they did it so I couldn't show others I got it for $43750 (or else it was some internal dealer thing about losing money from the used department but not new sales department).

Anyway, I've been very happy with it thus far and am glad I made the purchase.

The deals on the 2015's have been outstanding either for purchase or lease. Many dealers have very few 2015's in stock at this point so if there are any left I am sure they will deal.

Get em while they are hot. Just traded in my 09 RDX for a 15 MDX FWD Tech. Priced at about ~43000 before tax/title/etc. The dealership was very straightforward and gave me a decent trade-in for the RDX which sealed the deal. If anyone in the Raleigh area is looking, I'd be happy to share the sales info.

I bought a 2016 MDX AWD with Tech package for $46,500, that's about $3,700 off from the $50,210 MSRP ($49,290 + $920 destination charge). I also had a trade in so that might have helped get the price.

The stipulation was I had to take one of the MDX in stock, he had the black/black I wanted so it wasn't a stipulation to me at all.

Just picked up my 2016 SHAWD Tech w/ tint, wheelocks, hinged cargo tray for $48k OTD w/1.55% APR. I had another dealership willing to pay my price of $47.5K OTD or $48K OTD w/fog and splash guard, but they were being real jerks about the whole thing - so I chose to pay an $500 for better service. (Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Texas)

Can we make this a sticky? I think it's really good info for people looking to buy a MDX

Or maybe have a thread like the TLX does.

+1 for the sticky. This site and edmund's forum really helped me in setting my target price for the buy.

Hi gq_wolf,

What was the sales price before TTL? and did you have to deal on tint and other accessories separately?

Thanks.

I currently have an 03 TL looking to buy a new (not trade) 2016 MDX AWD Tech + Acurawatch. Was quoted ~$49K (price includes remote start, floor mats, splash guards, wheel locks and cargo tray) $52K OTD.

Thoughts on this? Should i go ahead with it? Thanks for your input in advance.
