Long time since posting, and my '03 CLs is still kicking at 230k miles! Glad to be back.
We decided to buy a new car. We bought our base awd MDX for $39,500 including freight, plus $300 processing fee, $310 tags and title fee, and $2,388 in taxes.
Out the door with 4 miles on the clock we were at $42,498. The car was purchased more than $6k below msrp through Chevy Chase Acura in Bethesda, MD during a Black Friday special this weekend.
We got 0% down, 1.99% financing for 72 months through my lender. Unfortunately the dealer couldn't compete with that rate and term.
We are very happy with the car and the deal.

Yes, 2015 base MDX with all wheel drive. However, I'm not sure the deal is still going on since it was a "Black Friday" price. It also includes car washes for life and two years of free oil changes. I wash my cars by hand, so not sure how much I'll use their machine car wash...
I was close to getting a car from Pohanka, but the price and location of the dealer I bought from sold me. For competitive pricing, I also suggest you contact Erikk Schupp at Pohanka Acura. He and his manager are aware of the deal I got.
Feel welcome to PM me if you have any questions.

I heard how there may be some incentives coming up the end of December around Christmas and going into New Years to sell some cars, and that pricing could be relatively low again. Keep your eyes peeled for good deals and get on the dealer email lists showing their specials. You can forward the emails with specials to other dealers to get them on the same page which makes it a bit easier to start negotiating at a lower price. I involved five Acura dealers for the purchase.
After purchase, I called around to a few dealers (from Ohio to PA to VA) and found $0 deductible, 7yr. / 100k mile Acura Care warranties varied a fair amount in price. I found them as low as $1,850 + tax to $2,250 at the dealer where we purchased our MDX. All the dealers I spoke with will take your credit card over the phone if you want the extended warranty... I didn't get my money's worth on the 7yr. / 100k warranty on my 2003 Acura CL, and I'm not sure it is worth it for my new MDX. But the cheaper it is, the more attractive it is for the peace of mind.

Eddie Reyes, but his manager, Ralph, gave me the deal.
I just got off the phone with Simeon at Tischer Acura, the dealer where I bought my CL over 12 years ago (he caled to follow up with me). He says he could have beat my price of $39,500 (including freight) for my AWD MDX. He is worth calling, as well as Erikk Schupp at Pohanka and Eddie/Ralph at Chevy Chase. Simeon's phone number is 301-575-1768. Simeon approved me posting his info on this forum and said he would honor/beat the price I paid. I was very clear it was for an AWD including freight.

2015 MDX SH-AWD Adv w/Ent in South Florida
Delray (Beach) Acura, Florida
2015 MDX SH-AWD Advance with Entertainment (No acc)
$53,500 + TTL with a decent trade.
I RAN out of Rick Case Acura... I had bought 2 from there in the past (ok with those deals)...
This time... They wanted $8,000 more on the deal.
Their first offer was ~$2,000 over MSRP and low-balled my trade. Seriously??!!

I got my Advance last week and I looked at dealers all around me. There were about 7 dealers within an hour drive of my town. Most only had 1 or 2 Advance models and at the most 20 MDX's on the lot. A couple told me that was all the inventory they had through the end of the year and since a couple of articles came out naming it the best SUV in its class there has been a lot of interest in them. I got the price I wanted but I don't know if I would expect things to change much between now and the end of the year on what you can get on the price. The above price of $53,500 was $350 below invoice and I would think you would have a hard time making that deal. I got mine at invoice and was very happy after shopping around since I got that from my local Acura dealer. I had a matching offer about an hour away.

2014 MDX FWD -- Good Deal?
Firstly I understand I am referring to 2014 MDX in this thread, but wanted your experience input.
I have an offer for 2014 MDX FWD (Brand new with 70 miles) OTD for 39,600. Is this too good of a deal or am I missing anything?
Appreciate your input

Seems like a good deal, but what would the invoice+destination pricing be for you? Also assuming no accessories correct?

Just picked up my 2015 MDX AWD + Tech package from Chevy Chase Acura in MD. MSRP $49,900 including freight, negotiated down to $44,688 (actually negotiated on OTD price), OTD price $46,900. Feel like there's still room from there, but decided to give every one something to cheer about for Christmas.
FYI, I was planning to buy the AWD base model, but Chevy Chase don't have the color combination I want, so I went up a notch with the Tech package. But the sale manager, Ralph, was okay with the OTD price of $42,465 for the AWD base model, including ttl, processing, tag fee, etc. Pohanka said they could beat that price ($42,465) by another $200, but it could be bluffing. Anyway, last minute phone call biddings can go really hot.

pulled the trigger today. was considering FWD base, AWD base, FWD tech, AWD tech. would have been willing to get the Tech only if some additional signifcant discount was offered. was even considering a 2014 AWD Tech, but it had more miles on it than I would have liked and the dealership wasn't willing to budge on price.
ended up getting the AWD base, which are not easy to find, which I found odd because 2 years ago, AWD was the only option. dealer said that it already came with the door edge film, wheel locks, and nitrogen-filled tires, but I wasn't willing to pay extra for those things. I asked dealer about other accessories, but they were extremely expensive so I will be buying them separately myself and doing the relatively simple installs.
2015 AWD base, $41,210 (including destination). not including the other fees (tax, documentation, etc) since that varies depending on location.
for the 2015 AWD Tech, the lowest price I was quoted was $44,790 (including destination), which is actually a great price, but still not enough for me to make the leap for the tech package.
for the 2014 AWD Tech, the price I was quoted was $43,990 (including destination), which is a great price, but considering that it is a 2014 model, the miles on the vehicle, and the prices I was quoted for a 2015 model, it wasn't discounted enough for my taste.
hope this helps for those in the hunt for a good deal. to find the invoice pricing look at the Costco Auto Program online (be sure the number you are looking at includes the destination to get an accurate comparison).
I felt like I got a year-end-deal, but not at all a year-end-steal.

oh, one more thing to add. once we were dealing with the finance department, they tried to sell the extended warranty for an extra $3000. I wasn't interested and kept saying no thanks. when they asked what it would take, I said I would do it for $1000. They dropped it down to $2000 asking if I would do the deal, but I told them again $1000. They then dropped it down to $1500, also telling me they are basically selling it to me at cost (which they said was just below $1500. I said $1000. After more talking he said ok, they would be willing to take a loss and do $1300. I said no go since it's not $1000. I doubt that their cost for the warranty was close to $1500 and even if I had agreed to $1300 I suspect they would still be making some $$.
just some information for those who may actually be interested in the extended warranty package...negotiate negotiate negotiate.

Has anyone ever purchased a demo car?
Dealer had 2015 AWD Tech with 5,387 miles for $44,000 and OTD price of $47,135.
I would think with that amount of miles they would drop the price a little more, but dealer said that's as low as they will go.

People have paid the same price for a new car as that demo. I have seen many demos driven hard, either on test drives, as courtesy shuttles from dealers to mass transit stations (wot from traffic lights, Ourisman Honda), or as loaner vehicles... imho, demo cars are kinda like rental cars in how they are treated with that many miles, and the number of drivers who don't have an interest in the car after their drive.
Wait to the end of the month and make dealers compete for your business. Depending on where you live and how far you are willing to travel (or how far the dealer thinks you are willing to travel), you should be able to get a new car for the price of the demo.

Considering this deal from CA
2015 AWD Tech Package (apparently black awd tech/entertainment pkg is not available in CA)
$49,960 MSRP
$44,998 selling price
Here are the fees
· $4,057.02 sales tax based on 9%
· $413.50 registration
· $80 doc fee
· $8.75 CA Tire fee
$49,557.27 total out the door. HOW GOOD IS THIS DEAL 1-10?? (10 BEING REPPED FROM SLICKDEALS)

Thanks. Dealer states demo is in "mint condition" and has been used as owner's car. That's probably what they always say though. 5,000 miles in 4 months seems like a lot of miles for one person.
Unfortunately, I live in South Texas and closest dealer (who doesn't negotiate or have the color I want or do special orders) is 2&1/2 hours away. Best offers so far come from Dallas, a 6 hour drive. Plus, having a hard time finding any black AWDs anywhere.
I am getting so frustrated part of me wants to just drive down the street and buy a CRV. :/
