Looks like a microphone just in front of third row courtesy lights in our 2017 MDX Sport Hybrid. What is the purpose of this? Do you guys with non-hybird have it too?

I think it is mic for phone. If not mic for noise reduction

ANC- Active Noise Cancellation

Cool! Didn't know our MDX have Active Noise Cancellation. No wonder it's freaking quiet. I'm always asking my wife if the car is ON. When running on EV motors, gas engine shut-off. Tachnometer drops to zero, only way I can tell the car is still on is the 'ready' LED on the dash.

Does all MDX comes with ANC? Also does it pipe in artificial engine noise in Sport/Sport+ mode?

I dont know of any Acura WITHOUT ANC.
Started becoming really popular in about 2008

Last Acura we owned was back in 2000. I guess they all have ANC now.
