Check your sunroof drains, open the sunroof and pour some water around the outside of the opening, standing on the door jam or a ladder If they are clogged you will know pretty quick so don’t overdo it and have a towel ready. And yes I’ve seen this happen on very new cars before, think of parking outside around pine trees. Ever see pollen so thick it will look like your car is tinted yellow? That’s the biggest cause.

^^^ This We had it happen to us and while I can't say it's very common it does happen on many cars. The drainage tubes that run down the A-pillars get back up / blocked and what you describe is the result.
