Trip Report 8K (DE-CO, AL, TN, DE)

During a trip to Estes Park, CO my 2018 MDX (A)I had a total failure of my Nav System along with the camera system, A total screen Freeze (lock up). Tried to reboot several times but to no avail. The worse part was the call to Acura Link for maybe some help on a series of finger and keyboard magic but nothing, nada, zip .
The girl who answered said they do not handle any technical support and she tried more than once to connect me to a service tech. still nothing. (boy Acura had better fix the problem with Acura Link).
After driving for for 400 miles using my Maps app on my iPhone which the voice quality is nowhere near the quality of the Nav Sys, we stopped for gas and when I restarted the Nav Sys came back to life, and all was well again. Talk about a brain dump!
Upon arriving at my destination I called the local Acura Tech Advisor and told him of the problem, during the following conversation he said they have had 5-6 problems as we had experienced, Acura was notified but no resolution offered.
That's my tale of Wo and now that were home and I've removed 2lb of bugs from the front of the MDX, All is well!

My gas mileage was pretty impressive 25.4 going 75-80. Not as good as my old RLX which had 35-38 MPG, but the RLX couldn't carry half of what the MDX can haul.

I had the same problem when my 18 MDX was still under 1000 miles. By chance, we were able to rectify the situation by unplugging the iPhone (8+) -- the problem was solved. We did something during the trip that made the Nav to stop -- perhaps multiple switches from iPhone to Nav?

actually we never thought to disconnect the phone, we were so in awe of the failure, but if it ever happens again the Iph
