Sport Hybrid spare tire

Hi, I am getting different versions whether the 2019 Hybrid MDX tech comes with a spare tire or an inflation kit.
Can a user clarify?
Also, if no spare tire comes with it, is it possible to install one under the trunk?

I only had the air compressor with my 19 sport hybrid Adv and no other hardware to change out a flat. I did order and had the dealership install the spare tire kit minus the donut spare at time of purchase. I purchased a full size rim and used tire on ebay. I don't know if the hybrid came with the inflation can? The dealership might have removed it when they installed the spare tire hardware?

My full size spare fits perfectly under my MDX.

How much did the hole thing cost you?

I had the dealership install the spare tire kit minus the donut spare at purchase. The price for the kit and labor to install was rolled into the final purchase price. I purchased the 20" Berlina rim ($210) and Conti CrossContact tire ($80) on eBay. I wrapped the spare in the bag Discount Tires used after they mount and balanced the spare. Purchased an universal spare tire cover on Amazon, $15, to cover the tire to hide and keep cleaner under the MDX. Combo worked extremely well for my 11 MDX with a full size spare for the last +5 years.

I see that according to your profile you're in NM. Have you had your vehicle for any length of time in winter / salty / sandy conditions with the wrapped tire? I'd be curious how the effective the wrapping of the tire would be when you have all the junk kicked up and packed under the car - and in particular how you'd get it off when you need the spare tire. It's an interesting concept to cover the spare - but I just have this feeling it might backfire depending on where you live....

I did the exact same tire cover with my 11 MDX full size spare since 2014. I've put +100,000 miles going coast to coast on my 11 MDX with the cover. It has only been as far north as Ohio and Florida for my furthest trips east. We also use a sand/salt mixture out west; but, you are on your own sometimes once you leave the city limits off the interstate. It is just $15 from the tire cover and the Discount tire bag was free. The The issue I've had before was the spare tire was extremely dirty under the MDX without the wheel cover. I started out with the $15 vinyl wheel cover only; but, the dirty/sand/muck still got onto the exposed section of the tire just from the area where the spare tire seats against the MDX frame. I had a few spare tire bags from Discount Tires and gave that a try and it that combo kept the tire clean all year. I set the PSI to +42 so I only need to check it a few times a year. The Discount Tire bag comes in handy to put the flat tire in to toss in the hatch if I don't want to hoist it back up under the MDX.

11 MDX with same cover and Discount tire bag:
