Hi all,

Have a 2017 MDX Tech, searched but did not find anything (or did something wrong) But is there a way to sort the music in the USB drive alphabetically?

I'm assuming Acura hasn't fixed this issue because I had this same problem with my 11 MDX with the usb flashdrive. The system on my MDX sorts the music folder date then by alphabetical order if the dates are the same. I haven't found a way in the MDX system to re-sort by folder name. I ended up just getting rid of all the individual folders for each album and created one folder to contain all the songs (folder name Beatles with +100 songs). I couldn't find a way to change the individual folder dates on my Dell laptop with Windows10 or iTunes. I found a program that would re-date the folders to any date I wanted and I able to just re-dated all the folders to the same date. My MDX was able to read each individual folder in alphabetical order since all the dates were the same. I have to do this every time I add music to my USB stick.

You don't have to dump all the music in one folder; but, you might have to rename each album folder to the name of the artist hyphen album if you do the re-date thing to keep them grouped together.

Sounds like a pain. But Thank you so much for the reply/advice. Hoping they will have a fix soon.

My in-laws base 2014 Rav4 sorts USB music in alphabetical order and displays album art as the song/album changes. Don't know why Acura can't figure this out?
