"ready" ????
After working through that tome of an Owners Manual and a subsequent session on the internet, both Google AND Bing, I freely admit defeat on this one.
A few days ago, I noticed that the word "READY" appears in green in the lower left quadrant of the tachometer in my 2018 Sport Hybrid Tech. My first thought was that it was probably good news. Then I wondered 1) WHAT was "READY" and 2) why doesn't it go away.
Anyone with some insight on this one?

My interpretation is that Ready is the substitute for not having a Temp gauge. That said, I'm not sure what it would say if engine was over-heating. NOT Ready?

"Ready" means your MDX hybrid is ready to drive. This is helpful because the ICE (gas motor) is off (RPM at zero) a lot of time when your are driving and when you are stopped. Sometimes when the battery is charged you can 'start' you car and the ICE stays off but the 'Ready' light will be on so you can just drive away. It's a Hybrid ICE vs EV thingy...

ok makes sense
So we just get a temp warning if ICE overheating?
I'd rather have a temp gauge than a batter gauge. Nothing I can do about the Hybrid Battery being low, but I could sure do something if I saw the temp gauge creeping up.
