My review of the 2014 MDX

Hey everyone, I had the opportunity to put a few hundred miles on a loaded MDX over the past week, so I've posted some of my thoughts on my website:

http://drivetofive.wordpress.com/201...014-acura-mdx/

Bottom line - I walked away very impressed with the MDX and its versatility. Quality feels top notch and driving dynamics make it equally comfortable regardless of whether it's on the pavement or on a back-road.

Cool

Cool Vid!!!!
Just a reminder, SHAWD will get you up almost any hill with ease, but there's no low gear to crawl you down Ill keep my 60K SUV on paved surfaces, don't want to chip the paint

Nice vid and beautiful desert.

I do question your musical taste. Considering the track on the vid and the pop electronic playing on sirius/xm.

But seriously, looked like you guys had a lot of fun.

Thanks for watching! The level of difficulty for our off-road drive was pretty light (you probably noticed that a Mitsubishi Lancer was also with our group and did just fine). But I think that the MDX is grippy enough to get a lot of places that would probably surprise us all.

Ha, yeah! I need some new song suggestions. Glad you enjoyed the vid, even if you had to mute the soundtrack to enjoy it.

True the MDX will climb stuff that would make a goat gag since SHAWD is the master of differing mu surfaces. Imagine jacking it a few inches, some rough stuff rubber and its pretty crazy what it will do, though I suspect the suspension components would not last long at all! There are videos around of people doing weird 2 tire off the ground tricks with SHAWD that not even Rovers could emulate. Now take it to the car wash and make it pretty again

Done! That was the first item of business after our drive. $2.00 in quarters at the coin-op wash later, and we were back to looking clean. I couldn't believe how much sand came out of those wheels.
