My New 2014 MDX

I picked up my 2014 MDX last week. I ended up with a base model. The dealer didn't have a tech in stock in the color I wanted. I also wasn't inthused about spending an additional 4k for a nav that I didn't want. I know there are other features with the tech package other than the nav. The main reason i bought the one I did is because I just couldn't wait another 2 or 3 weeks for a Tech to come in.

So for I am very impressed with the changes over my 2011 MDX.

I trades my 2011 MDX Base with 39,000 miles. They gave me $30k for my trade. I got $500 off of the sticker plus window tint and cargo tray thrown in the deal. I also will get the LED Fog lights at cost when they become available.

That is uber nice! Congrats. BTW I've been waiting to see pics a base model MDX to see how the wheels looked. They look great.

Lets see some interior pictures. How's the power vs your 2011? Do you miss the SH-AWD?

I will take some interior picture and post them tomorrow.

There were two reasons I traded my 2011 MDX. The SH-AWD and the gas mileage. I live in Florida and have no need for it. So far I am getting an average of 24 mpg, as high as 28 on the highway. I don't feel a loss of power and there is no torque steer.

So far, this new model has done everything I wanted it to do.

Sounds great! Yes, down south, unless you are a hard handler, SH-AWD is nice but overkill. This new MDX with the DI 3.5L and lower weight is going to get much higher mileage than the last gen, by far, especially when without SH-AWD.

Great color and I really like the "base" model 18" wheel with Michelins. One of our clients/employees bought a 2013 MDX base model May 31st and just traded it for a 2014 base model after 1759 miles. He's our dealer trade driver and after we had him take a few 2014's, that was all he needed.

Congrats

I wonder how much of a hit he took in depreciation.
