The "M" in "MDX" stands for "MANLY".

Be sure you wear your lumberjack outfit and a beard when you drive it.

Here's my manliness opinion:

This is out of a 1 to 10 scale, with 10 being the most manly:

MDX 2G: 8
MDX 3G: 5
Chevy Tahoe: 9
BMW X5: 7
Honda CR-V: 2
Acura RDX: 4
Toyota Sienna: 1
Honda Odyssey: 2
Toyota RAV4: 3
Toyota Highlander: 4
Lexus RX300: 3
Toyota 4-Runner: 7
Honda Pilot: 5

Question is, do you need your car to justify your manliness, or can you show your manliness in other ways .

Sport running boards not as bulkie as advanced running boards they look great, but I still feel I should of bought x5

How was the fit of the 265 on the stock rims. I phoned my dealer and they were clueless... very disappointing. Looked for this info everywhere, no answer found yet. Wondering what is your experience? Thanks

Noooo,
Don't do it..

265 tires are way too wide for 8" wide stock rims and will balloon.
You will need minimum 9" wide rims, even better 9.5" for that tire size.
These wide tires on too narrow rims will make the car extra wobbly over bumps and will ruining the steering response/ roadholding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to go with wider tires, get a different rim/tire set that is correct size setup.
With this you can also opt to get rims wit a bit smaller offset value (ET) which will make them stand out a bit more, but don't overdo it as this will put more stress on the wheel bearings, I would stick with max 5-8mm smaller ET, no more.

My 2019 MDX SH-AWD Advanced, comes with 265/45/20 tires stock. They are fitted on 20x8.5 factory wheels.

For some unclear reason, Acura chooses the absolute narrowest wheel possible for the applied tire width.
Just about all tire / wheel size advice sites will state that a 265 is the absolute widest possible tire (or too wide) on a 8.5 wheel, and a 9 or 9.5 wheel is advised with that tire size

From:
https://www.tyresizecalculator.com/c...-size-chartRimRim
Rim width 8,5 / 9,5
Min.tire width 225 / 245
Ideal tire width 235 or 245 / 255 or 265
Max.tire width 255 / 275

Weight savings and discourages people from running wider sizes.
