I'll be turning in my 2016 MDX mid July and my vehicle inspection is scheduled for mid June. Of course I think it's in great shape but it does have a few very small chips in paint.

For those that have turned in a Acura leased vehicle without leasing a new one, I'd appreciate hearing how your experience went.

Lease returns are generally handled by an independent company that does the inspection at your house.

Make sure:

The car is washed and clean inside - no junk inside the car - take everything out of the car.
The tires need to have over 2/32nds tread and all should match.
No dash lights or obvious mechanical issues
Servicing up to date (ie no "service overdue")
Small dings/chips (under the size of a dime won't get a mention, under a quarter will get a second look but shouldn't be a major issue
Car should be very clean and look good - that's 75% of the way there
