Title says it all. Does this mean that the battery in the key fob is bad/dying?
If yes, then what battery does the keyfob take? I can't find anything in the Forum search.
Thanks in advance!

Have you read through the manual for your car? It should have the battery information located in there. A PDF copy is linked above
Page 427 lists "Remote Transmitter Care"

I was just experiencing the same issue, after couple days of seeing that message, it finally pops up on MID says battery is low, lol.
After replacing new battery, no more messages.

Sorry if I didn't explain properly. The car powered off, as in the whole digital display shut down, speedo all that, after trying to start a few time with a low battery key fob.
I have now replaced the battery in fob. Even with the new battery the door locks don't work and nothing powers up when I get in. its like its disabled itself i looked in manual but didn't come across solution which is why I asked here. also no service center with in 500km
