How to change the Drivers side mirror enclosure
 

My drivers side mirror (2016 Base) enclosure had light damage, which cracked the enclosure along the seam on the end facing out from the car.

The plastic enclosure has the large front facing piece, and then the part that surrounds the glass. Its the part that surrounds the glass, that cracked. Not super noticeable, but the fact that its open makes me worried that moisture will get in.

How difficult is it to replace the surround?

I can get photos later if that would help.

looks like you MIGHT be talking about parts 6 or 12?

You'll have to carefully remove the mirror itself to get to the screws to take apart the housing to replace it.

It doesnt really match the part listed. Its this piece, that the red arrow is pointing to:

It doesn't seem to match anything. Don't really want to take to dealer as I'm sure they will tell me I have to replace entire sideview mirror. :(

6 and 12 are pointing to that piece :tomato: it's just left or right side specific

The side mirrors aren’t too difficult with standard tools. This application should be similar for most Acura’s.

My side mirror has not fold for 2 years but finally the same idiot SA that denied it 2 years ago approved it for no reason at my last visit.. lol.. but in the mean time I tried looking for various part inculding that motor that powers it.. I did find this video specifically for MDX.
